I saw Blur a few times, Milton Keynes Bowl and also at the Paradox in about 95, it was a secret gig and I amanged to get a ticket off a tout for £30, only about 200 people there.
i saw massive attack at the paradox in 95, but also across the road at the event saw primal scream and stereo mcs

.......... My first was Atomic Rooster at the Big Apple...... (a club in North Street long gone).

I was there that night, and on many, many others; regular night out for us Hove CGS boys - cushion throwing and Carlsberg!
Beefheart, Stones, Deep Purple, ELP. Pink Floyd........ it's a long list, we were so fortunate to have the Big Apple in the early 70's, albeit for such a short time.

Posted on an Acer notebook during a drug induced stupor.

Nice one. I remember making myself ill with anticipation and it was really touch and go whether my Mum was going to let me go.

I was in a seat and as soon as the opening chords of 'Dreamtime' came crashing across the PA all my ills were forgotten. November 5th 1980 as I remember; the first of a two night stint and the first of ten Jam gigs. Funnily enough, my daughter is wearing the t-shirt for the final one as we speak; a bit faded. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit me anymore.

you lucky git, i was a bit too young to see the jam....my first gig was Style Council at Brighton Centre in '87...great at the time but looking back it was the start of the end for the band...see Paul Weller about 10 times since (i know im sad)

If you mean The La's then i should say that i play football weekly (and weakly) with John Power of The La's/Cast. He plays no-holds-barred and was quite a firm contestant last night.

I do mean the La's!! Apologies

I was there. That was Curved Air mk II with Kirby on guitar, I believe Stuart Copeland was still their drummer, Darryl Way was on Violin. My first was Atomic Rooster at the Big Apple (a club in North Street long gone).

Me too at Curved Air

I was just to young to see the Jam, massive regret not seeing them as they are up there with the very best ever, saw Paul Weller at the K2 in crawley a couple of years back and it was full of Jam fans wearing the Ben Shermans etc, it was fairly quiet until Going Underground came on and them the place erupted!!
