The first match after I was born was on 22nd August 1959. We lost 2-1 at home to Aston Villa in the Second Division. Villa went on to win the league that season and Cardiff got promoted. The Albion ended up in 14th place. Interesting to see that Liverpool came 3rd just missing promotion and Portsmouth came 20th, just missing relegation.

Beat Coventry 3-0 at home, to retain top spot.

I was born around half-time, so I guess that still counts as "after"?

Apparently the last game of the 78/79 season was played on 5th of May, and as I was born on the 11th, that makes the first game after I was born a 4-0 pasting at the hands of Arsenal in our first league game of 79/80.
