Rooney, Welbeck , Sturridge and Defoe

I would go along with this but would also take Crouch (5 strikers as Rooney suspended for group games)

Sorry to say it but Zamora is hopelessly out of form and is below all of these and Davies.

Please not Holt, he will be completely out of his depth at International level

Andy Carroll should be on that list. Not that I'd take him, just for completeness.

I went for Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Defoe. The first 3 pick themselves, but as someone has rightly said, he is the most natural finisher we have and for that reason he HAS to go.

We should of given Holt a chance to proove himself- had scored goals this season and the big strong player that would act as a perfect foil depending on how we play

i would have a punt on Kevin Davies as useful to come on as sub with aeriel presence and also useful if you need to go 4 5 1 to protect a lead.

Rooney, Welbeck, Campbell and Lambert. The last knows where the f***ing net is, can pass the ball, hold it up... and can take a sodding penalty.

Can you imagine if Lambert did go, we get into a shootout and he missed. Would be conclusive proof that it's purely psychological.

Has he missed one in a Saints shirt?

No, not missed one in 3 years. He did an interview where he said he's 100% confident he's going to score as he hits the ball so hard and so accurately that it would take a phenomenal save from the goalkeeper to keep one out.

Jermaine defoe has been mainly a sub this season

16 goals scored. 1 goal every 139 minutes.

So basically he will score a goal every game and a half. That is a BRILLIANT record.

Get. him. on. that. plane
