Rooney, Welbeck, Sturridge, Crouch.

And use Walcott up front as well.

As bad as I feel to say, I'd be tempted by Lambert as well

Taking 5 would be completely ridiculous - often when 4 go one has very minimal (if any) involvement; on that basis I'm sure we can cope with 3 for 2 games.

To be honest the first 3 were easy (Rooney, Sturridge, Wellbeck) then I was struggling for a fourth. Crouch is just a bit shite, Defoe has never convinced me (and can't get into the Spurs team). I ultimately voted for Graham has he's a bit different and is relatively young (so would be in with a chance of going to Brazil in 2014 and beyond).

Rooney
Defoe
Welbeck
Sturridge / Bent (dunno if he will be fit)

with rooney out of first 2 games, might need a 5th striker.....Davies > Holt (more experienced, neither would score at international level)

People cannot be serious about leaving out Crouchy? 22 goals in 42 games for England and in decent form this season.
Saw a quote in this thread somewhere labelling him as "shit" that I thought was a bit ridiculous. From what I can see he is technically gifted, massive and has an eye for goal- we absolutely must take him to the Euro's IMO.

Front two of Bobby Zamora and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Crouch and Rooney as back up.

Isn't the ox man a winger, and potentially a bit too young to be taking to the euros?

I'd play him up top. You can take him 'as a winger' to accomodate one more forward though. If he's good enough, he's old enough. And he IS good enough.

Jermaine defoe has been mainly a sub this season

16 goals scored. 1 goal every 139 minutes.

So basically he will score a goal every game and a half. That is a BRILLIANT record.

Get. him. on. that. plane

Great post, how do you find out how many minutes he has played this season?

Is that Danny Graham?

I would take Rooney, Crouch, Defoe and Welbeck. We've seen Rooney and Welbeck work well together this season so why change that.

He scored the vast majority of his goals several years ago. He's done better than I'd thought at Stoke (having just looked up his record it's about 1 in 3) but at 31 his best years are behind him and I'd rather take a prospect for the future like Graham.

Oxlaide-Chamberlain is a great call and one I'd not thought about. I'd definitely have him in, probably as a winger but as you say he could also then cover the 5th striker option.

Even though he has been horsepoo this season Carroll may work with Rooney.
