Bouncing this thread because I've just started listening to the Joe Wilkinson podcast My Mate's a Footballer. Where he is trying to convince Patrick Bamford to become his friend. It's a decent listen, Pat Bamford comes across really well, articulate and doesn't fall foul to a lot of footballer cliches. Some good insights into life as a footballer, transfer system, roles of the agent, how a new manager coming in effects everyone. Although they do keep going off on tangents and not really talking about the subject they set out to.

We even get the briefest of mentions in Episode 2 (and it is the briefest of mentions).
My cousin is good mates with Joe and reckons he frequently watches the Albion.

Diary of a CEO is excellent and The West Wing Weekly is essential for fans of the show.

The Gary Neville podcast after the weekend football is always excellent.

Really liked That Peter Crouch Podcast at first, but find it a really difficult listen now.

I find him quite dull. What do you find difficult about it?

Much like this is difficult reading, when the behemoth is right here:-

It's the adverts, much like Social Distance Sports Bar, their monetisation has taken all the flow out of the pod.

I know Wolf and Owl has a lot of fans, but I got so 'twitchy' listening to last week, I'm done.

2 happily married family men sitting there saying how hard their life is because one had to go the premier of the Hollywood blockbuster movie in which they have a significant role.
While the other pretends they're not angry about the negative comments in the wake of the announcement of their BBC Radio 2 show, while concentrating solely on the negative comments.

One or the other chaps - but you can't have both.

It's become a bit self-congratulatory now.
It used to be quite an interesting insight into professional football.
they now spend most their time talking about "the pod" and making a big deal over their own catchphrases.
Fair enough. For me, I find the laddish rather humour tiresome.

I’ve listened to a few of the High Performance Pods, which reminds me I need to finish off the Marcus Waring one. Piers Morgan Uncensored got a listen last night due to Joey Barton being on it. That’s it for me.

I really can't stand it.
Jake Humphrey discussing high-performance, really grates on me.

It slipped into my podcasts on Spotify once, and keeps on randomly popping up.

Fair enough, I think I can understand where you’re coming from.

In some respects I find it an strange topic as it means many things to different people. High Performance to Marcus Waring means nothing more than working hard. I have found some guests very interesting though, Chase and Status for example. Barber especially.

I just remembered I have also listened to a few of the Off Menu podcasts.

If you’re into Blur the one with Graham Coxon is very good. He’s unintentionally very funny and has a certain and amusing way with words.

Chatabix is my current favourite. 3 days a week. Joe Wilkinson and David Earl. Just nattering, barely any structure. Occasional guests. Love it.

ahh that would be why it got into my rotation.
I did listen to the Barber one first.

Guests are good and interesting, but Humphrey ruins it, for me.
