Much as with Doctor Who, I think you're always somewhat more emotionally attached to your first Bond , and for me it is Brosnan. His films are a bit lame compared to some of the others objectively but I think Goldeneye stands up well even against other great Bond films. After that it's Skyfall.

Goldeneye has the best game spin-off.

Tomorrow Never Dies would possibly be my choice. I barely remember the plot. Villains in Bond movie after Bond movie tried to conquer the world and what not... but the bloke in TND, what does he do? He runs a newspaper or something.

License to Kill is boring.

Moonraker... eh. Some nice scenery and Hugo Drax is a good character. But its a bit too much of everything.

TWINE is just meh.

AVTAK is also pretty bad but not as bad as the above.

A View to a Kill, by a country mile. Pure 80s dross. Too much big hair, and Roger Moore abandons any pretence about taking the role seriously and making a suspenseful movie.

Oh, and no, Grace Jones can't act...

I had kind of lost interest when Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan played Bond but absolutely loved the Daniel Craig Casino Royale which is now my favourite. Was very disappointed with Quantum of Solace but quite enjoyed Skyfall.

I think Craig may now have overtaken Sean Connery as my favourite Bond, but I still rate Dr No and From Russia With Love

Agree that Daniel Craig has been the best Bond, even if some of the films don't make the mark.

I'd go for Casino Royale as my favourite.

Moonraker is probably the one I remember as a kid and From Russia with Love is just brilliant.

Thunderball - first Bond I saw in the cinema, blew my mind. FRWL also great. Skyfall of the recents (special mention for the start of Spectre). Also enjoyed LALD.

The worst ,by a country mile, has to be Never Say Never Again - great toupee though

On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I know George Lazenby got a lot of flack as 007 but Dianna Rigg was the best Bond girl ever; smart, stylish, confident and very beautiful.

It was probably about a half an hour too long but Telly Savalas was the best Blofeld (a snob who seemed more concerned about his title than world domination) and Piz Gloria a great location as the villains lair.

Also the story was believable to a degree rather than some of the totally overblown plot lines of other Bond movies. Bond also came across as more human than a lot of his other iterations.

THIS! They should absolutely remake OHMSS and keep the original John Barry theme. Diana Rigg was fabulous in that film and the Schilthorn Restaurant was a brilliant lair.

Worst Die Another Day or Quantom of Solace. I would say most the next worst all star Daniel Craig and are directed by Sam Mendes

I'm with Alan Partridge on this one - The Spy Who Loved Me.

I remember seeing this at the cinema as a 9-year old boy - it was the talk of the playground for weeks and had the best car - The Lotus Esprit that turned into a boat.

An honourable mention to Casino Royale which was the perfect way to bounce back.

I'm with Alan Partridge on this one - The Spy Who Loved Me.

Killing someone’s fiancée, them finding out, and still getting them in bed for the final scene took all of Moore’s charm and reasoning skills. It’s a classic piece of dialogue when he explains to XXX why he had to kill her lover, he explains the situation so well. Peak Roger.

Another vote for Goldeneye as it was the first one I watched properly. Also, I was addicted to the N64 game long before I saw the film.

Other favourites:
Casino Royale - a brilliant debut from Craig and the relaunch which was needed after Die Another Day (probably the worst Bond film)
A View To A Kill - it's just so 80s, I love it.
From Russia With Love - classic Connery.

Got to be Skyfall. Suspect the surprise in the current film is that Bond dies and there is no more Bond.

I didn't think I could ever like the modern ones as much as the Sean Connery ones until this, which blew me away. So many great locations, including the stunning Glen Coe, Craig at his peak, Judy Dench. Yes!

My only problem with it is that it doesn't have the radiant Léa Hélène Seydoux-Fornier de Clausonne in it ( and that's got to be one on the best names on the planet ! ).
