I had kind of lost interest when Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan played Bond but absolutely loved the Daniel Craig Casino Royale which is now my favourite. Was very disappointed with Quantum of Solace but quite enjoyed Skyfall.

I think Craig may now have overtaken Sean Connery as my favourite Bond, but I still rate Dr No and From Russia With Love

On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I know George Lazenby got a lot of flack as 007 but Dianna Rigg was the best Bond girl ever; smart, stylish, confident and very beautiful.

It was probably about a half an hour too long but Telly Savalas was the best Blofeld (a snob who seemed more concerned about his title than world domination) and Piz Gloria a great location as the villains lair.

Also the story was believable to a degree rather than some of the totally overblown plot lines of other Bond movies. Bond also came across as more human than a lot of his other iterations.

Roger Moore was Bond when I was growing up, so even though I now know they’re pretty lame, his era still counts for something.

Sean Connery is the classic, of course. And like you I really rate Daniel Craig’s first and third films. As movies they are a cut above.

Less said about the rubbish Pierce Brosnan era the better. Invisible cars, Madonna etc - gimmicky rubbish.

Got to be Skyfall. Suspect the surprise in the current film is that Bond dies and there is no more Bond.

GoldenEye was the first Bond I ever saw so probably that one.

But Skyfall is objectively a great film.

I’d go for Goldfinger, just ahead of From Russia With Love.

The Spy Who Loved Me is by far the best Moore film and right up there with the very best Bond’s.

Dalton’s films are underrated as is Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Brosnan got dealt a terrible hand. Could have been a good Bond, but the films were beyond awful.

Daniel Craig has been a revelation as Bond, although only Casino Royale & Skyfall have hit the mark for me.

Worst bond film has to be the final Moore one. A View to a Kill. Even Christopher Walken can’t salvage that one.

Agreed. It is a poor Bond movie. However, it did lose a lot of it’s budget as it was filmed around the time of the 2008 recession.

Dr. No is my favorite, not the best one, but my favorite nonetheless - I love the rawness and how they did a lot with limited resources.

Best... maybe FRWL, TSWLM or FYEO. Maybe OHMSS. Dont like the newer ones - too much shooting and too much computers/tech - all that much but I think the Craig ones are better than the Brosnan (not his fault as he was decent but the movies...) garbage.

Preferred Roger Moore as Bond , witty as well as tough .

Apparently he was a very nice man in real life , far nicer than Connery from what I’ve read.

Not a fan of Daniel Craig , not a bad actor but the scripts have gone downhill and he doesn’t have the charm and wit that Moore had .

I need my Bond tongue in cheek, it’s such an absurd premise that I struggle to relate to the Craig films, they are too serious.

So Moore is the man for me and I have to choose one of his flicks.

Live And Let Die is epic and ticks all my boxes.

Best theme song - Wings
Best baddie - Dr. Kananga / Mr. Big
Best allie - Sheriff J.W. Pepper
Best car chase - London double decker bus in the Caribbean!

In addition, the locations were brilliant (loved the menacing atmosphere in New Orleans).
