Leeds - but not the dirty bit
I wonder how many will be from recent releases as the earlier ones are forgotten. Probably most.

Not many standouts but I have enjoyed a few this year, Stan and Ollie, Green Book even Dumbo. No blockbusters although not watched Joker yet.

Stan and Ollie and Joker stood out for me but for different reasons. Joker was disturbing but an amazing performance from Phoenix but, Stan and Ollie win it for me for being a " feel good " film with a marvellous heart and two brilliant performances from the leads.

Yep another shout for The Peanut Butter Falcon.

It's fairly route 1.
The influences are there for all to see.
But that doesn't detractor from the fact it's a bloody good film brilliantly acted.

It's certainly stayed with me the longest.

I've seen 100 films in the cinema in 2019, I keep a list on IMDb and give a rating after each one.

My top 5 are;

1) Joker
2) One Upon a Time in Hollywood
3) Knives Out
4) Alita: Battle Angel
5) Green Book

Bottom 5 are;

96) The Hustle
97) Mary Queen of Scots
98) Hellboy
99) The Kid Who Would Be King
--------------------------------------------
100) Holmes and Watson ( :shit: )

Some things to note, I haven't had the required week to watch The Irishman yet, and I didn't include El Camino because it wasn't in the cinema. I have a feeling that Motherless Brooklyn might be a challenger for the top 5, but that's based on a feeling rather than anything else. Jumanji will be fun as well, I'm sure.
