Sussex's record opening partnership was against Middlesex - the massive 490 that Ted Bowley and John Langridge put on in 1933. It's the second highest partnership in the CC. If Haines and Orr beat that, they're going some

I interviewed John for The Cricketer once and he was typically modest about that partnership, said that it was a good batting track where everything came together. It sounds like this wicket is similar

Hey ho - records are there to be broken! :)

Thanks for the info.

That's not quite what Prior said. He said that money wasn't the reason that they were leaving - he didn't elaborate any further.
.

FWIW, Prior did say Jordan did not want to leave Sussex.

The most curious thing..
What have they glued this wicket together with - concrete?

Deepest, darkest Sussex
I mean England would still manage to be 150-6 on this pitch so...

Ben Brown lured down the wicket and stumped

80 from 104 balls, 15 fours :clap2:

Sussex 222-2, trailing by 454

Turn from Hollman, and a long long afternoon ahead for Sussex.

222 for 2 satisfies me

If we get to 242 for 2 I will be very happy.
