I think the highest number of Albion fans attending a match was the 41,000 we took to the play-off final in 1991.

Was at the Reading game Easter '70. I am sure there was a big crowd that day. They had a 'keeper called Death.
Anyone know what the figure was for that game ?
32,000 plus
My first 30+ crowd was the league cup game against Wolves in 69-70, If I remember rightly to get tickets for the wolves game you had to attend the game against the mighty Barrow which drew a 20 + crowd.
Amazed I was never in a 30k crowd at the Goldstone, but it seems Liverpool in the rain was a touch under (though never trusted the reporting of those numbers).
.
Yup, I can claim those as well. Can't wait until the Amex is a 30,000 stadium - although given the number of noshows at every game I don't reckon we'll ever actually see a 30,000 attendance.Lucky enough to be at the Goldstone for:
34,766 vs Rochdale May 1972 1-1
33,309 vs CPFC 24th Feb 1976 - a 2-0 Div 3 win
33,601 vs Derby 26 Oct 1976 1-1
30,756 vs SWeds 3 May 1977 3-2 win
32,979 vs S'ton 2 JAN 1978 1-1
33,431 vs Blackpool May 1978 2-1 win
