At least my points were real, at least one of yours is bollox.
I'm guessing you don't get the context of 'little green men'.

Putin's grey cardinal has used the same play book he used in Ukraine.

But then again, this might have been in their best interest, too. Makes them look good and avoids a vote of no confidence.

i read election due in March and the incumbent lead party expects to win largest vote anyway. so yes, look good while doing nothing of material significance.

Anyone dismissing the possibility of the reset is actually delusional when the biggest economic entity in the world is actually actively promoting it as the next societal system.

Yep, I’ve read that. I agree with your sentiment but not your sweeping statement.

Rashford getting involved is the end product of the enforced austerity since 2008, the increase of poverty and the increasing need for Food Banks is shameful when we are the 5th biggest economy in the world. This all to save a few £million when the government can shell out £ billions to their cronys in the last 10 months.

Whatever - storming the Capitol seemed very reminiscent of the Reichstag fire to me; I could probably add a reference to brownshirts in respect of the brave boys, or whatever they're called.
Do Trump's tactics remind me of anyone? Yes, they do.

Anyone dismissing the possibility of the reset is actually delusional when the biggest economic entity in the world is actually actively promoting it as the next societal system.

The Great Reset that is being promoted by nutjobs is nothing like the actual goals of the World Economic Forum. Not sure how many could complain about the goals of the Reset, apart from elites perhaps.

"The Great Reset agenda would have three main components. The first would steer the market toward fairer outcomes. To this end, governments should improve coordination (for example, in tax, regulatory, and fiscal policy), upgrade trade arrangements, and create the conditions for a “stakeholder economy.” At a time of diminishing tax bases and soaring public debt, governments have a powerful incentive to pursue such action.

Moreover, governments should implement long-overdue reforms that promote more equitable outcomes. Depending on the country, these may include changes to wealth taxes, the withdrawal of fossil-fuel subsidies, and new rules governing intellectual property, trade, and competition.

The second component of a Great Reset agenda would ensure that investments advance shared goals, such as equality and sustainability. Here, the large-scale spending programs that many governments are implementing represent a major opportunity for progress. The European Commission, for one, has unveiled plans for a €750 billion ($826 billion) recovery fund. The US, China, and Japan also have ambitious economic-stimulus plans.

Rather than using these funds, as well as investments from private entities and pension funds, to fill cracks in the old system, we should use them to create a new one that is more resilient, equitable, and sustainable in the long run. This means, for example, building “green” urban infrastructure and creating incentives for industries to improve their track record on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics.

The third and final priority of a Great Reset agenda is to harness the innovations of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to support the public good, especially by addressing health and social challenges. During the COVID-19 crisis, companies, universities, and others have joined forces to develop diagnostics, therapeutics, and possible vaccines; establish testing centers; create mechanisms for tracing infections; and deliver telemedicine. Imagine what could be possible if similar concerted efforts were made in every sector."

I'm sure that played a large part in it. The story of what happened is pretty depressing, yet people still turn it round and make out things are worse with our government etc. Reality is that in most countries the world over the general public has the same frustrations with their government one way or another, and the same or similar issues exist within their society.

You are right - there is that mirroring of 90 odd years ago.

But Trump has no tactics of his own. He is a narcissistic mobster who'll listen to anyone who tells him what he wants to hear.

I said it’s probably BS? Do people actually read?

You did indeed. But the fact is you shared it which suggests that you may be open to persuasion by such publishing.

Don't worry, if you fall down we'll get you out.

Can't comment on the originality or not of his thoughts and tactics (because like the rest of the world I've no idea what goes on inside his head), but only listening to anyone who tells him what he wants to here has a very distinct likeness with a certain person many years ago in mainland Europe!

I’m close to someone who’s been influenced by a big group of older Icke devotees in Brighton. They love his videos, last year going en masse to Trafalgar Sq to watch him preach.

Interestingly the group, DO NOT fit the NSC/James O’Brien neat stereotype of flat earthers also being gammons and Brexiteers.

Instead they’re traditionally Green/Labour voting families, but they’re big on anti-vax and have been seduced by the full Q Anon tripe.

I went to one of those rallies in August, leaving before Icke spoke. And you’re right. People on the left seem to think anyone they dislike is a very specific type. I went and saw a disparate conglomeration of vegans, Swampies, tinfoil hatters, animal rights protesters, Greenies, anarchists, New Agers, Ufologists, Hollow Earthers, trans rights activists, punks, old school socialists and batty old ladies.

And one bloke on the periphery waved a Moseley flag and the usual forum suspects said, “Oh, they’re all just alt right fascists.”

Classic “anyone I don’t like is a Nazi” thinking at best; dehumanising tactics at worst.

This site has a a few tongue in cheek predictions for how the world will end in 2021 - zombie apocalypse, second coming and hidden Torah code. Also lists a few of the better previous end of world predictions including Harold "Carry On" Camping who was nothing if not persistent. When his May 21, 2011 prediction came to nothing he pushed it back 5 months before finally admitting that nobody really knew

And if this one is true the s is really hitting the fan [emoji15]. Personally think likely to be just the alt right getting over excited and taking proper BS but very interesting to see what pans out.

Haven’t read it, but you can tell simply by the lack of spacing between the text and the edge of your phone that the site is not a respectable outlet. These are indeed strange times, choose your sources wisely. At least, more wisely than this I would suggest.
