Get this,,,,,,

I was having some "banter" with a Man Utd supporter of my aquaintance calling him a plastic manc etc. He (the Man U Fan) was taking this well, when a Liverpool fan friend of ours (who is the very defintion of plastic, never goes to games, lives in Sussex etc) said I was being really unfair and then called ME a plastic Brighton fan!!!!! because I am not from Brighton!!!!

There are no words......

Worked with someone in Portsmouth who said he was a man utd fan. When I asked him if he had ever been to OT, his reply was wheres that. Couldnt understand why everyone laughed at him.

I don't see why he can't be a fan of Manchester United's football. I'm a fan of pasta. Doesn't mean I have to come from Italy for that to be OK!

Yeah but pasta doesn't win any trophies does it? Curry on the other hand, surely only people from India should eat it.

In a pile of football shirts
I think I remember this, either in Coasters or the Top Rank, possibly even the Pink Coconut

Depends. Have you ever condescended to someone else because your pasta is tastier than someone's curry, a curry they were BORN WITH?

This analogy went bizarre about halfway through, but you get the gist.

I would put money on that being Coasters

There was deffo a hi-nrg/remix disco version, on a delightfully named "12 Inches of Pleasure" ep, perhaps that was more up Rorys street

Shit! I support Brighton who I live to far away to watch.........and I would love some glory.

Yep you are plastic, living in Aus is no excuse, I demand a plastic test:

1. Where were you born?
2. Have you ever seen Brighton play?.
3. Are any of your ancestors Brighton fans?.

I always hear the phrase being thrown around but I don't really know what it means! What makes someone a "plastic" fan?

They are called plastic fans by people with a self imposed elevation of importance as a fan. Generally these people are Richard Soles.

I think all I know now is that:

a) I shouldn't like pasta.
b) I need to buy a new desk fan.
c) Pasta doesn't win trophies.

Thanks NSC!!!

Have you no sense of shame? What's the Pink Coconut called these days? A uni mate from Edinburgh collapsed with laughter when he heard that there was a club called the Pink Coconut in Brighton, for some reason.
