What does this mean for LYNCH?

It looks like Slade will get the job - if you believe The Argus - and when he joined he picked out Lynch as one of our talented youngsters.

Could the great man convince Lynch to come back down and play in the stripes?

I would love it if he did. I think Slade could get the best out of him in the same way he has with Cox.

We can hope so, Lynch at left back till McNulty gets fit then we have options both at left back and in the middle

Whing Elphick Lynch McNulty would OWN most attacks in League 1 and has the right blend of pace, grit, strength and balance.

Can't see him wanting to come back, he wants to play at a higher level than league 1.

Also what would the fans reaction to his return be, seeing as he basically walked out on the club because he wasn't picked for the first couple of games.

Lynch was far to inconsistent he made a few mistake sure he was good at times but he wants to play at a higher level and generally i believe his albion career went up the pipe when micky decided to play the hawk instead of him..

I would like to think the fans are clever enough to realise what an asset he would be and forgive and forget.

Although somehow I doubt it...

Yes, but which League 1 defender does not?

Anyone who has seen Virgo PUNT the ball from right to left 20 times a match with a 0 per cent success rate could surely forgive Lynch a few misplaced passes.

Forgive and forget, YES
But kick Virgo out the team for him No sorry but Virgo and Elphicks partnership is developing nicely and I for one dont see why we should break that???

Yes but he wasn't playing becuase Hawkins was and lets be honest any one would be pissed off if he was playing instead of you.

Lynch and Elphich was developing nicely as well last season...

Either way - whoever you START some people will get injured or in Virg's case more likely suspended.

I would rather bring Virgo / Lynch in for cover than Hinshelwood or El Abd or Hawkins.

At the time Hawkins and the rest of the defence was doing pretty well and keeping clean sheets, Hawkins only went shit after Lynch had left.

What a stupid comment. I don't think remembering that a player has made it clear he did not want to play for the club is not clever. Lynch is injury prone and mistake prone and Virgs showed in recent games how good he really is at centre back. I would be very disappointed if Lynch came back and walked straight back into that defence, although he would solve the short term issue over left back until McNulty comes back.

And he wasn't being MANAGED properly.

He sat out games under Wilkins and was ok. Then again, he wasn't sitting them out in place of Colin Hawkins...

I Totally agree but I just dont believe he will be happy with a place on the bench wether he's being kept out of the team by Virgs or hawkins I just dont see it
