It was showbiz, it was pure theatre, it was Gustastic, and I loved it.

For those criticising him, WHAT exactly do you think he could have said or done in the last 8 minutes, given that Burnley's only intention was to time waste.

If he could have made another substitution or two then I would have perhaps not supported him, but the flamboyant way he thought about the situation, the flourish with the way he grabbed his coat, the waves to the crowd, the kisses blown before he walked up the tunnel was one of the most FLAIR managerial moments I have seen in 39 years watching the Albion.

I hope so, I really do. But that now gives license for a player to react that why if they are not happy with something.

No it doesn't, players can influence the game through what they do on the pitch, there was nothing more Gus could have done from the sidelines.

slightly off topic. Did anyone see Tanio having a go at the crowd behind the dugout just after Caldi got pulled away from the Ref by Greer for reacting to the crowd on the other side of the pitch .?

it was great theatre... the last 10 mins were great from atmosphere loved vicente getting in the face of the injured player and trying to get him up....

On a serious note i did think it was a tad strange that he left.... but thats Gus!

That's a bit like the fascination some poor minions have for bizarre celebrities, such as serial killers.
Not everything the charismatic celebs do is "flair" - they are human, and some of what they do is plain stoopid.
I'm not even sure if Gus knows what moved him to blow kisses and act weird, except he may have felt he was already in some surreal black comedy courtesy of the referee and the opposing players.
He lives what's happening to/with his players, that's apparent.
