Me and my brother used to pretty much pass the same bottle of whisky (OK, technically a difference bottle of the same whisky...) back and forth until we both realised it was pointless many years ago...

If he drinks alcohol then a decent spirit or wine. Certainly wouldn't buy a male mate aftershave, bit odd imo and might upset the other half. Nothing wrong with a football related gift. Film related t-shirts (classy, left field one) I'd always happily receive if you know my favourite movies. There's plenty of film t-shirt sites.

It's now the thing not to buy an item, but an 'experience'.

So, book something he'll enjoy, and pay for it.

Or even better - buy him a ticket for a match at the Amex, and try and convert him.

I was hoping that this thread would give me an idea what to tell the wife to get me for Xmas but I doubt she will be up for getting 3 brasses! 😔

Indeed I cannot move for middle aged men in lycra on the Cycling experience days I run.

Aqua Gio is one of my favourites, in Lidl they do a dupe called Aqua Fresh £4.99 it’s identical and longer lasting.
They’ve also nailed Boss bottled I think it’s called X Bolt
Cheap skate  ……do they sell a fake Issey Miyake? Just asking for a friend

I just buy my mates a whisky you don’t see in the supermarket, here some recommendations at different prices based on my favourites

C40-45 Arran Amarone wine finish (an unknown gem)
C£50-60 glenfiddich experimental XX, so much better than anything age statement they do
c£90-100. macallan 12year sherry cask (caramel toffee)
c£150-200 glendronach 18year (Sherry bomb)

Middle-aged blokes have friends?!

When did this happen and why didn’t I get allocated any?
