following on from Richies excellent "Parkour is great", "I interviewed a poledancer and had a go myself and enjoyed it" and "I interviewed Nick Griffin" threads the last few days, what did you do at work today?

Mine isnt very exciting, I checked some backups, I imported some new data into a database, sent some data back to a client, reset a couple of passwords and helped someone with a new function, and had 2 pints at lunch

except for browsing NSC what did you do today at work?

I made up some projections for UK/regional population this morning.

This afternoon I have been writing text about the economic state of the East Midlands.

No drinking for me at lunchtime, it's not PUBDAY (which is our offices new name for Friday).

It's all fascinating stuff

Today I have been compiling a report on the businesses Bad Debt liablities in preperation for a meeting with our FD and a couple of Directors who are in town later this week. I also had a small spillage to clear up after I knocked over a cup of water. Collateral damage was minimal, although I will probably need a new yellow sticky pad from the stationary cupboard.

I Went to London for a 1 Hour meeting with an outplacement consultant. Spent 3 hours in the Imperial War Museum.

Just got back to the office and the first thing I did was sign on here.

I have spent most of the afternoon haggling with some yank over the price of a domain name I am purchasing for a client, spent this morning writing up a report into the extent of a trademarks use by a large chain of food outlets,

My last twenty minutes have involved a good chat with the rentokil chap who clearly loves his job. ...

i rolled into the office this morning to find a real humdinger of a slanging match going on between two employees of mine. one is now not an employee. the other has spent the rest of the morning grovelling like a weiner.

i then gave the go ahead and signed on the dotted line to build a new factory, will be our biggest one yet. so very excited about this, no i get to pick out and purchase all the shiny new machinery, nothing like a big ole vibrating conveyor.

got fed up then so came home and took mrs starry and all the children out for lunch. have played the wii with the oldest two and discussed where they might like to live and stuff.

now i am waiting for my oldest daughter to be ready, we are going for a 6 mile run, i will run, she will ride her pony.
