The Potter haters have insisted all season that the fans would have been booing Potter if we were losing at home. Wankers, the fans INSPIRED us.

Very physically strong tonight, which along with the support which was phenomenal, made us mentally strong too.

When down to 10 City still pressed us high and left gaps behind, which we fully exploited. Biss was immense all night in getting a foot in and winning numerous turnovers. Trossard kept picking it up in little pockets of space hurting them, Moder kept getting in behind, and we FINALLY made good on some of those Xg's.

Thats all.

I'd actually say losing Welbeck might have been a blessing in disguise, because Tross was ridiculous.

Agree on Tross, if he could play like that consistently...................... he wouldnt be at Brighton!

For those who were there or for those who watched on TV (sadly, I was unable to do either) - what did we do differently tonight that resulted in scoring THREE goals and overcoming a 2 goal deficit vs the PL Champions?

Yes, I appreciate that we were playing against 10 men, but then we did vs. Sheffield United and still huffed and puffed to a miserable 1-1 draw (although we did, predictably, blow some guilt-edged chances to win that one).

I imgaine the 8,000+ in the stadium more than played their part  but did we play noticeably differently to create and convert our chances?

they didnt park the bus to be fair and we were pretty woeful in attack until Ali j was removed and Lallana came on.

Funnily enough, we still missed some gilt edged chances, still served up an opportunity to equalize with mins remaining. Main difference is we scored and Man City didn’t get lucky when we presented them with an 88th min chance.

I wasn't going to start a thread, not wanting to bring up negatives on such a memorable night. But Ali J was absolute GUBBINS. He worked back a few times and put a shift in, but as an attacking influence he was trash. Every cross of his ended up in the south stand.

He's junk, and needs binning off this summer.

1). We went for the juggler (yes, I know, that is a deliberate mis-spelling)!
2). Our defenders chipped in with some goals.
3). Stripes.
4). GP doing a Hughton and completely losing his shit.
5). Moder.

I don't think you can discount the influence of the crowd either. Sadly I was a T4 watching from home, but the fans made such a great noise all night, and once we got that goal back, it just ignited the atmosphere to new heights. Once we were back in it the crowd were up for everything, it was brilliant to hear. I think the team really responded to that.

Just tremendous.
