Such a rated book but I gave up a couple of chapters in. Tediocre in the extreme imho.

Yeah I'm quite enjoying it, but once it started to grate, it really grated.
On the one hand you've got a self confessed illiterate, drug addled, thief, with no musical knowledge.

But on the other, you have a blameless music genius who whenever challenged on anything was ALWAYS proven right, in the long run.

Bit OT. Was watching King Arthur last night and on seeing one of the actors, had a thought That's Jack Reacher. Ray Stevenson.

Went to the IMDb website and appears I'm not the first to think it. Better than the midget they have actually got to play him.

Paul Preston's peerless and epic biography of Franco; what a rancid piece of shit that little fucker was.

Atonement by Ian McKewan.

One of my favourite films so I'm surprised to say that the book is far better. Great writer, beautiful prose, tense voyeuristic story. Superb.
