In my own strange world
"The Path Finders" by Will Iredale, it's about the Lancaster and Mosquito crews the found and marked the targets for the WW2 bomber raids, very interesting, enjoying it very much.

Just finished 'The Ruins' that I picked up at BHF shop in London Road for £1.50. Heart sort of sank when I realised it was by Haywards Heath guy Mat Osman, bass player with Suede. To be fair, there's some small patches of decent writing in there. But mostly not.

Just about to embark on revisiting this cheap local cash-in after many a year. Quite looking forward to it actually 🙂

Will report back

Spitfire by John Nichol. Guess what it is about?
If enjoyed that, the best book he’s written IMO is the last escape, all about pow’s at the end of ww2. V.interesting.

What Just Happened ?! by Marina Hyde. A selection of her Guardian columns from 2016 onwards following the referendum vote (plus other big stories over the last 6 years). Hugely entertaining writer, satire at its best.
Ow, that’s on my list to get. Looks interesting.

I love her writing. I'm quite a fan of these type of books - bite-sized bog read kind of thing. I downloaded it onto my Kindle, and have been guilty of cackling away at it in my local when I go for a couple of sad bastard pints on my own early evening after work.

She's superb. I especially love it when she gets proper stuck into Johnson. Absolutely brutal.

That’ll do for me! Will pick up from the book shop when next in town.

Cheers
