If enjoyed that, the best book he’s written IMO is the last escape, all about pow’s at the end of ww2. V.interesting.Spitfire by John Nichol. Guess what it is about?
Ow, that’s on my list to get. Looks interesting. What Just Happened ?! by Marina Hyde. A selection of her Guardian columns from 2016 onwards following the referendum vote (plus other big stories over the last 6 years). Hugely entertaining writer, satire at its best.
I love her writing. I'm quite a fan of these type of books - bite-sized bog read kind of thing. I downloaded it onto my Kindle, and have been guilty of cackling away at it in my local when I go for a couple of sad bastard pints on my own early evening after work.Ow, that’s on my list to get. She's superb. I especially love it when she gets proper stuck into Johnson. Absolutely brutal.
