In my own strange world
Naval Warfare in the English Channel 1939-1945 by Peter C Smith, very informative and interesting account of this bitterly contested narrow strip of sea that helped keep the Nation safe, so much that I didn't realise about the battles that took place against German E-Boats, U-Boats,aircraft and other surface ships...thoroughly recommend it to any WW2 buffs.

The Body Keeps the Score by Bessel van der Kolk. It's about the way mind and body are linked in their response to trauma. Reading as a mix of academic and personal interest.
