Interesting to note when this thread started , we had survived a relegation fight in league 1 - finishing 6 points away from relegation to league 2 .

How times have changed ! Thanks to TB .

I just finished the first Jo Nesbo (Harry Hole series). Slightly disorganized at the end but compelling, and I have decided to read the lot now (book 2 ordered). Thanks to Mrs T for the research.

'The Most Dangerous Place on Earth' by Lindy Lee Johnson. Sublime writing and a brilliant debut novel, set in a US high school.

Cysgod yn y Coed - it's a book for short stories for people like me who know a bit of Welsh and want to stretch themselves

Just finishing Dave Grohl's book The Storyteller.

It's fine. A little bit self-congratulatory imo, although I'm sure that's not his intention.

3/5.

Bloke came I the pub where I work and recommended SCRUBLANDS by Chris Hammer.

Mystery tale set in outback Australia.
Excellent recommendation that I am happy to pass on

I have just finished this, picking it up on the back of your post. An enjoyable read (so thank you), but have to agree with your "disorganised ending" description - the last chapters seemed somewhat rushed and only fleeting reference being made to one or two significant events. I too will continue with the series - I have the library app, so can borrow most books electronically and saves a packet.

I had read some of his non Harry Hole books, all equally enjoyable.
