Unexpected bank holiday... lovely

Watching the funeral on telly though.... think I'll probably pass on that and make a day of it out in the countryside with the wife and little one

First series of the capture was brilliant so have high hopes for the second.

Shetland was good, but a lot of it is tosh staring into space and pulling faces, and car driving up and down roads….plus how did the chief detective catch the bomber in his car so quickly!!!

Capture 2 was excellent … Holliday Grainger superb.

Found Shetland a bit on the slow side.

To be fair the Brits will put on a spectacular show with all the pomp and circumstance to go with it. I'm sure it has been planned for a long time. I'm not really a Royalist but respected the Queen.
I will be glued to the box for some of it anyway and enjoying an unexpected day off.

Going to work, avoiding all this royal family bollocks and earning some cash in the process.

Popping the old gas man uniform on and deceiving the elderly. The character I play is Dave Winstanley, from Stockport - eyepatch, lisp and plenty a tale of his wife, Gladys, and son the first in the family to go to university and study gynaecology, or "summit about parts". Home by 5, I'd say, with a swagbag of dentures and earrings and piles of battenberg, and sweet memories of batteries turned around in devices and remotes. Then chortle the night away with a few slurps of tepid cognac and gorge on rusks.

I'm starting to think that Stanley Unwin still lives .

Trying not to cuss out parents during our parent/teacher conferences. Oh, and going to a grand opening of a new steakhouse.

I do enjoy these bonkers posts :)

Go to bed and read the Chester chausable. Book 14 of brother hermitage series.
Fall asleep after 2 chapters

Anyone who can go to sleep after a night time coffee is weird. Do you have hot chocolate or brandy when you wake up in the morning?

Flying back home to Wales, doesn't seem to matter where in the world I might be I'm always happiest amongst the vast open spaces and rolling hills of home, can't wait.

Watching it. Maybe not every single minute, but definitely watching to pay respect where it is due, and to watch a bit of history.
