Lush,

I totally agree, but if this is a start to getting the West oier redeveloped then go for it. Once The crooks from the palace pier are happy with it I imaging another plan will go in to build a new music hall or whatever they were hoping to put on it.

Should say about the year 2040 we may see the first development!

:lolol:

Its sad that its fallen into such a state of disrepair, surely it would have been easier to fix the pier when it was first closed in the 70's. Brighton seafront wont look the same without two piers

I feel sadder now that I have seen those pictures, Northstander. Its a f:censored: disgrace that is been allowed to deteriorate in the way it has.

let it burn and drown
let it burn and drown
why dont you let it burn and drown!

Time to rip the thing up completley and build a new vision for the future, sod all this "lets go back to the past" bullshit theres plenty of that already in Brighton. If we are to become a City to be proud of we need the ammenities of the future, we want people in the US to look at our City the same way we look at Miami! (for example that is).

A new state of the art Pier for the NEXT century is what we need, so goodbye old girl...your time is up.

I know what you are saying but a lot of money comes in to Brighton from Tourism, and lets face it, tourists love historical stuff!

Get it restored to it's former glories imho!!!

The Brighton Pier as it has been for a few years now remember ;)
Also it should be made clear that they have NO say in the west pier whatsoever, if they do then its a farce (as if it aint already).
