Is it just me?

Or do any other NSC posters see a family resemblence between these two?

God knows! Although I would only want Pieterson, Flintoff and Broad involved in the long-term, there aren't enough replacements currently to be able to get rid of everyone else. With that in mind, for the next test (ignoring injuries) I'd play:

1) Cook
2) Vaughan
3) Shah
4) Pieterson
5) No idea, but not Bell or Collingwood
6) Flintoff
7) Prior
8) Broad
9) Rashid
10) Harmison
11) Jones/Anderson
And that's the problem... doesn't look much better to me, unfortunately. I'm sure there are loads of people on here who see more county cricket then I do but from what I have seen and read etc, it doesn't seem like anyone is making an inarguable case for selection. The guys in the team now aren't either it's true, but wholesale changes for players who aren't any better won't get us anywhere.

Still, at least we only need a new coach, captain, batting line up and one or two bowlers before the home series against the windies. :lolol:

I do agree with you there, but at least it would be an attempt to change things. Persisting with shit players totally out of form for AGES is unforgivable, but it's exactly what we continue to do. I'm the same as you - I don't see a plethora of players knocking on the door, but there are one or two and we HAVE to freshen things up just to be seen to be doing something.
Fair enough, I'd agree even though I'm not sure who could come in (beyond Shah for Bell which has been blatant for AGES).

What a joke.

Sussex, by the sea
utterly disgraceful performance by a leaderless, managerless clueless bunch of mediocre players . . .with 3 or 4 exceptions of individual talent

I bet the Aussies, despite their poor form and team rebuilding of late are pissing their pants laughing at the prospect of trying to defend the(ir) ashes.

the ECB needs disbanding and total reform of English Cricket or we'll be struggling against the sweaties before long!
