Yeh… so 5 minutes plus stoppage time. Yet people seem to be expecting him to perform at the level he was at 2 years ago…

I’m defending Ferguson. Not attacking him.

I'm a Ferguson fan, but we have passed the point now where we can say "maybe it'll be better next time".

He needs a decent run of games which we cannot afford to give him. He needs to regain his confidence.

Fortunately, the January transfer is just around the corner...

I agree. He needs a loan to a side that’ll play him. If he’s not starting a game like today, he’s not going to start consistently for us.

We’re definitely missing Welbeck, knitting the front 4 together. Pedro is trying to do too much, and because he drifts we lose a body in the box. We get that when Ferguson comes on, maybe he needs more minutes whilst Welbeck is out

Main blessing today is I’m home within an hour of final whistle for a change. As for the football probably the worst game I’ve seen this season in terms of overall quality from both sides. West Ham are dreadful and we huffed and puffed. Could be a long winter.

Yeah. I mean, maybe I'm reading too much into a 10 minute cameo appearance, and obviously rusty, I thought he looked like he wanted it more than he has in recent appearances. Which, although he should have scored, was at least a little bit encouraging.

Disappointing again. Should have won but ultimately it's yet another shit team we've failed to beat.

There were positives but I'm getting to the point where I just don't like how we play. It feels stupid, lacking in cohesiveness and bordering on chaotic far too often. It's like watching a kids team. I hope sooner rather than later that whatever it is that FH is trying to do clicks and becomes apparent because this, surely, can't be the master plan.

I hate feeling like this when there is so much I should be excited and happy about.

Yeah, this is pretty much my feeling as well. We’ve had good moments but our style of play, whatever it actually is, is not great to watch. Apart from the odd half of football here and there, I just haven’t felt like we are actually playing all that well, or like we are playing to particular tactics or style.

Of course I wish we'd won but an away point is acceptable. The commentators on the feed I watched were complimentary about "Brighton's beautiful football." We're not on a great run but things will pick up again.

Yeah, it's a weird comment from him. Ayari played very nicely and we were very much on the front foot after his introduction. He has a nice incisive pass on him.

The problem is who else do we have as cover in that position? Do we promote Duffus? Unfortunately I don't think we can recall Sima. Of course we might get someone on loan ourselves!

When you have ex pros saying our pressing is so good West Ham can’t get on the ball,, they are exposing the gaps in West Ham’s midfield superbly and posters saying we are crap doesn’t add up somehow

not sure how that ties in with bloom and barber’s intentions of pushing on by spending £200m.

I hope Gomez is the player out of those purchases that is the one as IMHO the rest have not exactly set the world alight.

We need Yalcouyé back in Jan to control the tempo he picks up the ball superbly from the defenders and sprays it about.
He will be the next £100m player.
