I’d suggest it is you who doesn’t get football at PL level. The manager is more than good enough, the problem is the players. We don’t have the players to compete at this level. Blame the chairman for playing moneyball. I can live with relegation, which is a real possibility but no way is Potter to blame for the player’s shortcomings. We are set up to play some of the best football in the PL but the defenders let us down game after game. Bloom’s dream has gone pear shaped due to lack of quality investment on the player front.

I can live with it, we have a fantastic stadium and academy but we fall short on the quality required of first team players required at this level. In no way is Potter responsible for the failings imo. Bring on the Championship.

Lallana is a MASSIVE disappointment to me. Lets’s just play Alzate, at least he’ll improve whereas Lallana is going through the motions on a last big pay cheque. I haven’t been so disappointed in a player for years.

Absolutely, however Lallana being a part time player will suit the others having sharing roles so I am happy he has a series of camios which some of the others will learn from.

Happy with discussing systems, tactics etc. But there has been a lot of slagging off of Potter, Maupay, Trossard, White etc. We should win as a team (whenever that happens) and lose as a team, not pick on individuals. Everyone of us makes mistakes, and if people were actually not trying, as some have suggested, then we wouldn't be in the position where "we should have beaten" these teams. Understand the frustration, but hate accusing individuals.

I think part of the post game analysis on a forum is analysing where we could have done better, and where players have struggled.

The defending on set pieces is unacceptable both individually and collectively, and you can’t comment on one without the other. At the end of the day this is a forum for discussion.....

Subs negative, or not a great bench to pick from?

No EPL goals or form players in there at all.

Why does the club buy players if they aren't going to play them? Seems a weird recruitment strategy.

What's the point of having a creative, promising Argentinian International on the bench all the time? Is Trossard really playing well enough to keep him out of the team?

Could Zeqiri not have come on for a tired Wellbeck or Maupay and still allowed Brighton to maintain some goal threat, rather than having zero goal threat and allowing WH to flood players forward with no risk at the back?

If there are no subs competing for a starting place (or even to come on for some game time!), then surely that's only going to create complacency.

Go back and check all of your posts from today or directly after every match, you’ve labelled the Potter In-Out Poll as pathetic because you don’t like it, you are outraged at multiple people in the match day thread as they had the cheek to say we defended badly etc.

Yes. I stand by that 100%. Having a manager in/out poll after every bloody game is utterly moronic.

I’m not sure what posts you’ve decreed me being outraged in, as I’m actually usually the calmer. That only post that may qualify for that was the chap who said he hoped Potter would lose so he could get more abuse. Stand by my response to that 100% as well.

I admire your spirit but I think you are banging your head against a brick wall.

No real way of proving this either way (unless we change manager) but I'm convinced we have the players to be far more productive than we are. I simply don't believe Palace, Newcastle or Leeds for example have better squads than us. The best managers get the absolute most from the players they have at their disposal. Potter simply isn't doing that at the moment.

I struggle to see how Potter can be held responsible for the defensive mistakes players make. Palace and Newcastle play a very negative style of football. Leeds are a one off. I am happy to admit that Bielsaball seems to be working but I don’t want to see us play like Newcastle and Palace

There you go, you don’t like it therefore it’s moronic. Kind of highlights my point.

I do agree that the tool who wanted us to lose so he could give Potter abuse was well out of line.

I’m starting to think Tony may be accepting of relegation as part of the process. This is all a long term plan to be self sustaining.

If we're to go by what the club publicly says, I don't think he is. Sacking Hughton to bring in Potter, signing Lallana and Welbeck, all to accept being relegated? Take this article when Welbeck signed, published on the club website, headline "I can help Albion reach the top ten, says Welbeck": https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/1868917/i-can-help-albion-reach-the-top-ten-says-welbeck. Unless Tony is envisaging us going down this year, bouncing straight back up and then finishing top ten in the first season back in the Prem, I'd say he's hoping for better league finishes a lot sooner than that if you take into account Danny is 30 already.

The fact we barely spent a penny in the last window is a warning sign.

That said, we still have a very good chance of staying up I think. And if I had to put my house on it, I wouldn’t have us finishing in the bottom 3.

No, no, no. I very much doubt our owner is accepting of relegation. I very much doubt he expects relegation and expect your house to be safe.

Not spending much money and looking for good value signings is a good thing from Tony, I don't think it's accepting relegation at all.

Constantly attacked Ryan and posters with a slightly more nuanced opinion.
Spent today attacking posters who have attacked BDB.

Having a manager in/out poll for every game.. EVERY game? You approve of that? You don’t see that as being slightly knee jerk?

Wellbeck and Lallana would not stay with us to play in the championship- Fact

I don’t really care tbh, but clearly some people use it as a way to gauge the NSC mood. A lot of people vote in it too so that surely says something.

Lets wait until the end of the season to see if Bielsaball is effective in the EPL. Long way to go yet.
