Wes Browns red. No wonder Gus was upset!

Does that mean his ban is increased for an unsuccessful appeal?

That's not an automatic. It's only if the appeal is deemed frivolous, and since it was a result of a slip and some commentators seemed to think it was harsh (but could see why it was given), it probably wasn't seen as frivolous.

Got to love BBS, one of their cherubs is having a right old paddy because Wes Brown got off. He seems to think that, and he states, if Wes hadn't won the ball and was a bit later he could have broken his leg.

The fact that he did win the ball and the tackle was properly timed seems to have gone unnoticed.

I think the appeal panel were laughing so much because Palace actually scored a goal shortly after the incident that they forgot to increase the 3 match ban.

Normal practice on the BBS is to winge forever that the FA, refs, media etc. ALL 'have it in' for Palace.
