As much as I wanted him out, I think he hasn't been given enough time this season. If things continue to go tits up then it may be a case of "what if we'd given MM a bit longer?"

You have to ask if we can compete in the league at any level with a youth team. Talented and willing, but inexperienced.

Dependent on a few senior pros, vulnerable when missing. Would they have lost at Bristol if Guy B had been fit?

Without money we can't buy players, nor can we buy a top manager. The next might be experienced, but past sell-by date. Given that there is to be a change, I hope it is somebody much like the team, young, talented, probably unknown, but very very keen to prove they can succeed.

Yes we were right as it is time for a change but the bloke is very unfortunate not to have had the financial backing of the club when he really needed it. He did make a lot of mistakes but at the end of the day his best players were sold and not replaced so his task was always going to be near impossible.
I think the sacking of Booker is a good move, time for a clearout to make way for the new regime.

Funny how he is sacked just as the transfer window closes. The club can site lack of confidence in MM for not investing in new players, and the new guy has now missed the opportunity to buy. Once again the club gets away with not investing in the team. Call me an old cynic but I think that was a very crafty move by the board.

I guess Dick thought that MM deserved a chance as he had got us out of this division before and perhaps didn't forsee the fans threatening to stay away. We wouldn't have signed a manager straight away, so I guess the timing is neither here nor there.

I think you may be right and but I also think the timing was the WORST possible. If they wanted to sack him they should have done it in the summer and given a new man a chance to settle in, and more importantly the chance to attract players before the transfer window shut. "Shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted" is the expression that springs to mind, as they'd let McGhee start the campaign the should have given him longer. Minority view I know but I'm used to that.
