I think Bolton will get 6 points from their last 2 games. I can't see Cardiff putting up a strong performance now; look at our results after we'd won the titles with games to spare in recent years!
We took the lead against a decent Southampton side, and we only lost because Murray went off injured (was that his last game for us?). Cardiff have been a lot better than Bolton this season, and especially at home. Even if they take their foot off the gas, it won't be an easy game for Bolton. In fact, put it this way - Bolton are 2-1 to win, so if you think they should be odds on, get your money on it.

Just easier if we got someone like Bolton, who we outplayed in both games against them

I'm worried about Bolton - they have been our bogey side this season. As you say, outplayed them in both games and only got a point.

True but we also lost to Huddersfield, and those 2 games were our only home defeats that year. I'm also reminded of a sunny day in Shrewsbury where we celebrated winning league 3 (or whatever it was called then) by getting hammered 3-0.

Are they?

Since they beat us (somewhat fortuitously) their results have been: LWWLLW - not bad but three wins and three defeats in six games isn't ablaze. Not sure ow this myth is sustainig itself.

For completeness, last six for others around us:
Watford - DWDLLW (8 pts)
Albion - DDDWDW (10 pts)
Palace - LLLDLD (2 pts hehe)
Bolton - LWWLLW (9 pts)
Leicester - LLDDWD (6 pts)
Forest - DDDLLD

We are the form team of 2013

It's going to be an interesting finish for us, Leicester, Forest and maybe Palace, I think you lads are in. Best season finish for us in years considering we were 20th in Feb and if we don't make it this year, the future looks bright for next season.

Want Palace in the semis then you in the final. If there was any justice we would utterly destroy you.

Ha ha why's that? You should of finished us off at your place, no ones fault other than your own. At the Reebok we defended well as a unit and only needed the one goal as we could of played another 5 hours and you weren't going to score.

Because if we play as we did at the Amex we would destroy you. You're right, we should've finished you off. This time we would.

You won't get a chance to dominate like that again and the likelyhood is you won't play that well again. For the record if we get in (still a big if) I'm genuinely not bothered who we get as I think we will take the opportunity been given to us and win through the play offs.

Yeah, we haven't played that well for days.

Has Dawson gone now? A huge miss for Bolton imo.
Signs off against Cardiff on sat. Defo agree, him going, Spearing and N'gog has hardly come at a great time, but it's why we have a squad and the options aren't bad. Wheater/Mills/Ream for Dawson. Holden/Medo for Spearing. Craig Davies/Tom Eaves for N'gog.

Err, you've not been keeping up with us have you? We're a MUCH better side now than we were then.

Is Holden with you now? Thought he'd be a big player in this league once over the injury but sent out on loan so presumably not back to full speed?

That Leicester and Forest have to play each other might be enough for them to just creep over the line.

I really can't see them winning at Blackburn this coming weekend.

Yes, shame Blackburn got a result, would've rather seem them going into the game a little more desperate. Still think we'll grab 4th and Palace 6th. Can't see them progressing if they do fall over the play off line so we won't meet!

Agree with this sentiment entirely.

Many seem to be relishing the idea of playing Palace in the playoffs. I would rather they either dropped out of the playoff spots, or we avoided them entirely.

Losing to Palace in the playoffs would be more than I could bear.

Spot on.

Surely Palace are capable of one more win.

You obviously haven't seen us play in the past month Trig!

For what it's worth, I think we will get 3 points from our nex 3 games and that will be enough to sneak 5th or 6th. But then the pressure will kind of be off us, most of our fans have given up on Holloway and the team already and most will be expecting a thrashing in the playoffs. If we can get back to playing how we were at times this season then we will be able to give anyone a run for there money, the playoffs are a lottery and anything can happen plus we always do better when we are the under-dog. It's a big if though...
