Don’t think we went in for McBurnie? There was a link cos of Swansea and Potter but didn’t think there was concrete evidence we went for him...

Don’t rate him personally, glad we went Maupay instead.

of the strikers that were bought by clubs Maupay does look the best...

If you were to suggest three parts of our team which should be improved, GK would not be on my list.

We need a new left back before we need a new goalkeeper. No insult to Dan Burn who has done well but it's not his natural position and he's been a good stand-in rather than a proper long-term solution.

what about Bernardo?

Of all of last summers new signings in the premier league Maupay has scored the most goals this season.

We should be grateful that he was sold the Albion over BIG CLUB Villa who were making noises about a top six place pre season and splashing 150 million to back the claim up.

Instead he chose the team with the rookie manager who had only just avoided the drop the previous season and were being slagged off by the media. That is one impressive sell

Hopefully the “three” will come from the academy, we seem to have hoovered up loads of talented kids recently, it’d be nice to see some more of them make the breakthrough.

In my opinion we need 3 top quality players in order to become a top ten side.

1: Goalkeeper. Ryan is a ok and has done well for us, however I think we need someone better if we are going to kick-on. Preferably someone who can reach the corners.

2: Centre Mid. Someone who has the ability to score goals and become the engine in our side and really make us tick.

3: Striker (obvs). A new Glenn / Bobby. Big, strong, quick and can get us 15+ a season.

I don't think we need anyone new in any position, I think we have the players at the club to be in the top half, it just hadn't quite fallen into place earlier in the season and we missed out on some points we should have gained. I do think that if Walton comes back for next season, he could displace Ryan though.

Of all of last summers new signings in the premier league Maupay has scored the most goals this season.

But I think he should have scored more. He's not the sort of clinical finisher that Murray is. When Muzza has a chance, I always expect him to score. When Maupay has one, I always think 'How is he going to miss this time?' He raised my hopes with that goal at Watford, and his finish at home to the Arse was brilliant but for me there have been too many snatched efforts over the bar.

One amazing striker/forward is probably not realistic wages/cost wise but one insane defensive midfielder would allow the likes of Bissouma, Propper and Mooy a bit more attacking license.

Other than that can't see much need unless we loose anyone.

It is his first season in the Premier League. I think he will improve next season but we do need another striker to play alongside him some games and compete with him for the striker role in others. If we can get another striker who gets 10-12 goals and Maupay does too, we'll be in a better position.

Unless you spend a lot or have a bit of luck, it is very hard to sign a striker who will get you more than 15 goals in the Premier League

Have you realised we are in the Premiership, only just but should be okay for another season due to the poor teams below us

I do think Ryan is a good keeper and his agility is great. However any shot near the corners I just don't have any confidence in him getting there. I also don't think hes the best with his feet and passing as some others in the league. I realise what i'm asking for here is a top top keeper but I think if we want to be top ten in the best league in the world, thats just what we need.

Lets be realistic, teams like us will never be in the top ten,our place is between half way down the league and the relegation area, i would prefer we were in the Championship playing attacking and entertaining football.

We will be back there, rest assured.

OP's premise is delusional IMHO. Way I see it, we can either spend the going EPL rate to boost our league placing, or the manager can work towards building an overachieving core first XI and the team spirit that comes with it. At the moment we're several hundred country miles away from either of those things happening

Top ten ? After last night's performance we're just making up the numbers, I suppose there's a few greedy agents who could potentially help out though
Regards
DF

I dont criticise last nights performance we are in the same league as City Untd Liverpool Arsenal but can never expect to be in the top ten, the choice is we can stay in the Premiership and struggle to avoid relegation or drop into the Championship and be able to play attacking and entertaining football.

It's only the mega-rich clubs that can spend their way to an improved league position; it's simplistic and bordering on delusional to think that a club like BHA can simply go and buy proven PL level players to put us in the top 10. Clubs like us (and any others outside the Big 6) have to be a bit clever with transfers and/or play the long game to develop the type of players that would otherwise be out of our price range . With the progress of young players like White, Alzate, Mcallister and Lamptey this season, we seem to be doing this quite well.
