All true Dazzer but what about the crosses taken and command of the box charts?
I cant believe they are where they are with that strike force of 3. Sharp / McGoldrick and the big ginger lad - none of them would get near our team.

Good call. Only way he is likely to get plenty of starts in the PL
A goalkeeper must command his area and is able to get out and catch the ball. A goalkeeper who stays on his line is ALWAYS a liability. .

One big weakness for us is having a midfielder who can receive the ball under pressure from Dunk or Webster and do something with it. Bissouma is probably the best at doing that now, but both Propper and Stephens get caught a lot. It´s an extremely difficult skill but essential for the way we play. So along with a striker, this position is the one that needs attention IMO.
Edit: I forgot about Alzate. He has the potential to be that midfielder
I don't see it myself, although i'd be delighted.
He's started 26 of Man Utd's 34 games, 6 sub appearances too. He's only not made the squad once so far this season, and has been an unused sub once as well. All in all a decent amount for a player stepping up to this level for the first time.
because its not just about talent, its about application, commitment and teamwork mixed with good management and luck.
We have midfielders who when they do shoot have already written it off as a miss or been blocked hence very little contribution from that area and that's true of the wingers as well though Trossard is moving in teh right direction. Get a few more goals and the 1-0 defeats are drawers and the drawers are wins and we too would have been further up the table. We could improve the defence but that is not the priority.
This is a not really as big an issue as people suggest. Ryan is absolutely not glued to his line (in most situations) - he's actually really quick to come out sweeping, or in a one on one situation. High balls from set pieces, I agree, he rarely comes to collect, but that will be by design. It will have been discussed, as a team and management, and they've decided that in those situations, he'll stay close to his line and leave Burn, Dunk, Duffy, Webster or any one of our giants, to deal with it.
It works well enough - excepting the one bad day at Anfield when VVD scored two, how many goals have we conceded from such situations all season?
The way they do it is far, far safer than a situation where a keeper comes for SOME high balls, and not others - that really makes life difficult for the defenders.
Shows how it’s not an unrealistic expectation for a side like us then right? (Wolves / Southampton / Leicester showing it’s possible.
McBurnie - given that Potter played him at Swansea, and tried to sign him here, I'm sure he would have got in our team.
(They have Mousset, too)
They've scored fewer goals than we have.....
they have scored one less but conceded 11 less. They have a very decent keeper but i don't think they have individuals who are better than ours they just have worked better as a unit. Not sure whether it will work next year though but they have £100m to play with.
See they are considering Cantwell from Norwich...
