Is another correct answer its the English cup final so it should be "god save the queen" and if they can slip in "land of hope and glory" all the better.

Political correctness is SUCH a lazy term for the mind-numbingly boring.

How about this? It is a cup final, big occasion and we happen to have a Welsh team playing in it. The Welsh Anthem is by far the best of all the home nations and I can't see a good reason why it should not be played. Why does politicshave to come into it?

maybe we should play all the national anthems of every player and his nationality.

I think it is actually "The English FA Cup Final" seeing as Wales and England both have their respective Football Associations.

Its the "Football League" that's referred to incorrectly as "The English Football League"

I have no problem with the Welsh National Anthem being played at all for such an occasion. Adds a bit to the atmosphere after all.

Land Of Hope And Glory for me.

Remember it being very stirring when sung every time England won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002, far more so than I can ever remember GSTQ/K being.
