Well Southampton think the Amex is shit

All this talk of £90m is a little misleading, surely? A large chunk enabled their cars/coaches to access the site. Also, presumably the fans did not see where a large chunk of the money went? I.e the corporate facilities/conference areas and so on.

I'm struggling to think of any set of individuals whose opinions I could actually care less about than theirs.

When we 'complete' the ground it will piss all over theirs.

This one has a fair point:

"I was disappointed by it. Style over substance. Football grounds are defined by their 'kops' behind the goals. They've missed the point completely by having such tiny stands at each End. Even if they increase the capacity there will be no more depth to the stands behind the goals. Also, it needs to be steeper. I thought The Madjeski was a much better ground."

The North Stand needs to be extended! From the South, it looks about an inch high if you measure it!

It is a far superior ground to St Mary's - a boring bowl they hardly ever fill. And if they bothered to read the programme, they would also realised it isn't finished yet.

Who gives a monkey with a gun what they think. All the missing panels and half finished thing is for the expansion. They can piss off to their boring run of the mill bowl.

We're spending another £14M on the Amex to complete it , could they do the same buying an upgrade from Ikea ?

As much as I love the Amex; this rings true with me...

If the Stains fans bother to read today's match programme they will see that the next phase of The Amex is well in hand. The article included plenty of pictures for them. Fairly obvious that The Amex will be the mutts nuts when finished. Not to mention an all new training complex / academy too.

They can save their ill informed vitriol for their Hampshire cousins - after all they do have a stadium to moan about.

The only correct thing they say is it does smell of shit - need to get that sorted out ASAP!!! I've noticed it many times now - not just today

It is the most wonderful stadium in the world but i do wish the North stand was a little larger.

I've always assumed the size of the stands behind the goals has been dictated by the location and the need to merge the stadium into the downs. I suspect if there were no constraints the stands behind the goals would have been much bigger.
