Your new stadium is quality especially with the pies and decent beer.

However this does remind me of not so long ago when most of you frequently slagged off ours. Pretty funny when theres Fratton Krap and Selhurst to laugh more heavily about.

One question though, when the Amex is extended, wont travel in and out be even worse.?

Well a bit - although Falmer wasn't built within an old Communist-era bowl. Although I'm sure Southampton FC would wholeheartedly approve of the Stasi's methods of information control. That Southampton Echo reporter will be looking to defect at this rate.

Anyway, I may be biased but the new grounds built for Germany in 2006 were pioneers of modern, cool, beautiful stadium architecture; no harm in emulating them a little bit. And no-one's ever used those words to describe Southampton's boring boxy shed.

Sorry, but I believe the desired mot juste now is ICONIC.

Brighton and Hove Albion's stadium will be "iconic structure"

The Falmer Stadium will rank alongside the Royal Pavilion in terms of architectural significance.

Martin Perry, Brighton and Hove Albion’s chief executive, made the comparison as he outlined the club’s future on and off the pitch in an exclusive interview with The Argus.
He believes the Seagull’s new home will join the Regency palace in becoming an iconic structure for the city of Brighton and Hove.

Mr Perry said:“I think the stadium a fantastic design and we’ve always been proud with it.
“I think it will be an iconic building and it will be a gateway to the city.”

From a train/ bus/ park and ride perspective I think it has settled down now. We can do more to educate/ help away fans but largely it seems under control. Cant speak for car parks as I've never used them but yesterday the Bennett field one did seem to be hampering getting the buses out. The club will need to think very carefully how it proposes to support the new seats. I'm sure they'll find a suitable solution which will then take another 10 or so games to let everyone settle into it.

Dont think we slagged off St Mary's. It's a bit "identikit" but there's nothing wrong with yours, it's just that its yours.

We might well have been less than impressed with the lack of identity but we would have cut our right arms off for it then. But not now..............

Quote from comment on BBC article about the Wrexham game:

"As Liverpool fan always loved going to Racecourse for the annual preseason friendly. Great to see the club on the way back. Good luck to them but Brighton fans deserve credit for their struggle to achieve the impressive AMEX. went there for league cup this year and fans were great and loved their new facilities"
