He was better yesterday but still only a 4 or 5 /10 , not up to it from evidence shown so far. Anyone who says he is based on purely his performances for us is prob either on a wind up or deluded

Headless chicken? Now you are having a laugh. Do you actually understand anything about the game of football?

I'd like to think I do, but a skillfull player who runs around a lot but has no footballing brain or end product is a headless chicken in my eyes.

The " look at me applauing all of you don't I care so much " crap Davies does after every game does not wash with me, infact it really pisses me off. It smacks of a bloke desperate for people to like him and forgive him for being so shit after 1 goal in 13 games as a striker which has signed off our relegation.

I would rather he scored a goal and f***ed off first down the tunnel without even acknowledging the crowd personally.

Davies looking " gutted " after every game is not what I want to see.

Very harsh, he has stayed behind every game to applaud us after every single game, even though many fans have been abusing him, especially recently. Ok, he should be scoring more goals, but do you seriously think that he is missing these chances on purpose? He will be as angry with him self as we are with him. So i don't think that booing him is going to help matters!
Craig has alot of talent and once he gets more confidence, i am sure he will be scoring for fun

If he had no footballing brain he wouldn't be getting in excellent positions, making good runs without constantly getting caught offside or creating chances for other players. The end product is missing at the moment, that's all.

Anyone else notice our much maligned Craig stay out at the final whistle to applaude supporters in every home section of the ground whilst many of our other 'bleed blue and white' heroes ran for the dressing room?

Well played to the boy for not just scuttling off with his tail between his legs like most of them

Isn't US one of Robinsons biggest fans. How many goals has he scored over the last two years?

This is the problem with the likes of Gareth and WW; they decide not to like a player, ignore basic facts and the inconsistencies in their arguments when pointed out and continue with their witch hunts. In fact trying to argue constructively against them is a complete waste of time.

The facts if Davies had scored 6 which he should have done by now with the easy chances he has missed we would have a fair few more points and may not be getting relegated to the 4th division. Harsh but true.

What are the basic facts and inconsistencies i'm ignoring then?

He doesn't score chances.

He doesn't create chances.

Getting into positions and missing, and clapping the fans at the end of the game shows f*** all.

Quickly scanned through this thread this morning and everybody seems to have forgotten that on yesterday's phone-in a certain Mr J Byrne, who can be regarded as knowing a thing or two about football, thinks that Davies is going to be a big asset to this club.

That's good enough for me.

Rubbish. It shows a striker who's down on his luck but still cares.

But I could go on all day and you'd refuse to see any merit in the guy so I'm going to give up now and leave it to the rest to debate.

Down on luck? Hahaha.

Yes, he's been unlucky to blast four one-on-ones wide/over and place one straight at the keeper, which have cost us at least 4 points.

I see merit in him - he's fast and runs around a lot.

That's all though.

It's a team game. The players, all forty of them, share collective responsibility for where we are.

Exactly. You also have to add to them the board, the managers, and coaching staff. They all have to take the blame to a greater or lesser extent.

It doesn't mean however that they deserve the childish, moronic, personal abuse dished out by some on here. None of them deliberately made mistakes or made wrong decisions. Of course, the mindless purveyors of abuse on here have never made a mistake in their lives.

Exactly. He is a striker short on confidence (not helped by some of the muppets on here) playing in a side that is playing poorly, and creating very few chances, which means that there is added pressure on the strikers to take the few chances that are created.

Still I suspect that some people would not be happy whatever was happening.

Scored goals in this league before he came here. Is going through a run of bad luck that all strikers go through needs one of his arse or something and they will start flying in. Is a quality player and will get the goals needed next season to get us back up.
Get off his back not his fault we have been shit this season and defiantly not at fault for the loss yesterday a few more players showing the commitment and running we got from him yesterday and we wouldn't be in this position
