Well done Craig Davies

Anyone else notice our much maligned Craig stay out at the final whistle to applaude supporters in every home section of the ground whilst many of our other 'bleed blue and white' heroes ran for the dressing room? He was unlucky not to score again yesterday and played his heart out yet there were still people slagging him off. Sometimes I wonder if I'm from the same planet as a lot of Brighton fans these days. Some of the crap that goes on in the stands (including the witch hunt that got a few harmless Swindon fans ejected from the South Stand) and on here is actually more depressing than the on field antics this season, and that's saying something.

Well done Craig, I hope you start getting the goals your effort and passion deserves soon.

The " look at me applauing all of you don't I care so much " crap Davies does after every game does not wash with me, infact it really pisses me off. It smacks of a bloke desperate for people to like him and forgive him for being so shit after 1 goal in 13 games as a striker which has signed off our relegation.

I would rather he scored a goal and f***ed off first down the tunnel without even acknowledging the crowd personally.

Davies looking " gutted " after every game is not what I want to see.

When do I fail to sell a mortgage product time and time again ?. I have no mortgages to offer thats my problem. Anyway at least I still hav a job, of sorts.

Anyway Davies look at me show at the end of the game turns my stomach personally. If I had been at the trackside I would have shouted at him to score a goal if he cares so much and f*** off down the tunnel.

I don't agree with that at all. Of course I'd much rather he'd converted more of the chances he's had but blaming him for signing off our relegation is nonsense. The problem has been our barn door defence yet players like Elphick and Kuipers who have made several howlers this season that have directly lead to goals being conceded get off with legend status whilst Davies who apart from a couple of howlers has actually been pretty unlucky get hung out to dry. His work rate, pace and ability mean he gets into good positions to score. The howlers he has missed are probably down to him trying to hard rather than relaxing in fron of goal. How the f*** is that someone 'so shit'?

He is a striker, his job is to score goals. 1 goal in 13 games suggests he is not very good at his job.

Does that 'utter turd' include going very close with a difficult chance yesterday and nearly breaking the crossbar from 20 yards at Hereford?

Eh what, the only involvement I have had is in trying to get Ricky Marlowe to play again and to invite Peter Ward. Whats your point ?.

You've got to decide whether Davies has the ability and is just trying too hard or whether he is ' a headless chicken ' with no class or composure.
Myself, well I can only compare him with Forster and Murray ( and these two could be leading the line in Div.2 next season ) and I'm afraid that he looks out of his depth.
Football is full of players who have incredible workrate...its what got them noticed when they were kids...and has carried them ever since. They don't have the ability of some kids but their desire is greater. At some stage of their careers, workrate is no longer enough and that little touch of class ( that you get with Forster and Murray ) is missing.
Natural goalscorers have that innate ability to stay calm when the chance presents itself and I see nothing in Davies that persuades me that he is ' a natural '
The panic and ' snatching ' at chances is what separates the men from the boys in the penalty area i.e Forster and Murray v Davies and Robinson.

I KNOW THAT (please stop using capitals, I'm not thick or partially sighted). His current goal to chances ratio is poor but I repeat; he's making chances, getting into good positions and apart from the two well document howlers has been unlucky not to score. That happens to strikers from time to time. The fact that so many seem to have written a Welsh International with a good record off as turd just smacks of people wanting a convenient scapegoat. Your ridiculous analogy to Gatting proves that.

Anway the show by Davies yesterday was utterly absurd and embarrassing. He walked around the whole ground applauding all 4 sides and was still on the pitch after all the other players were in the changing room. Cringeworthy.

Bloody hell Gareth why all the bile and bitterness. Are our lives really so miserable that the only way we can make ourselves happy is by abusing others?

The Albion have often been shit in the years you and I have watched them, it goes with the territory. Were it not for injuries to Forster and Murray Davies would not have played yesterday, give the man a break. In the wider scheme of things it isn't important.
