There's some really lazy, reprehensible news coverage of this topic at the moment....

It's all 'Shocking, look at the numbers of immigrants trying to illegally enter the UK!' .... It's about outrage (rather than a focus on human dilemmas) and vacuous solutions - 'send them back!' (whatever that facile slogan means), or horror - 'WTF!' over and over again, and never a genuine attempt to analyse and address the causes and identify informed, practical solutions.

Why?

Because emotions of shock and horror are easy to generate, sell copy and have instant appeal to those with limited powers of scrutiny.

Accurate explanations for this awful phenomenon are complex and time consuming. They require effort and critical thinking; Such coverage doesn't sell well or lend itself to the instant appeal of a tabloid shock/horror headline.

I think it's clear who the mendacious media outlets are targeting - and it is working a treat for some on here!

Don't be too hard on yourself. You are more in a parallel universe rather than in denial; your physical location doesn't matter but you are certainly not living in the real world.

I am pleased to see you are now using spellcheck, but maybe you could also get help with your punctuation.

Start with the use of full stops; it's that basic.

Like bombs, actions speak louder than words.

How many of these potentially highly skilled pizza makers have you put up at your gaff? Clampy has confirmed he has none so he’s eliminated himself from this thread.

In these days of frequent knifings and bombings by the newly arrived mentally ill it seems important that the constituency that are all for welcoming them into the country walk the talk.

This is win win all ends up. We should call it the Ladenburger-Gross paradox. If you’re not prepared to engage in it, your just another Clampy style organ spewing out meaningless invective.

Mendacious whataboutery.

You don't have to have a Somali on the sofa to see the media get this wrong time and time again.

Out of interest, how many times does an NSC user generally get banned for racism before the ban becomes permanent ???

Well in fairness, and perhaps as an example the OP has been banned for two whole months in the past for talking about “gassing people” & a 21 day ban for racially offensive language so I’d imagine whoever you’re grassing will need to have really overstepped the mark[emoji6]
