Just five people have been sent back this year, against 289 last year when UK was part of EU returns deal.
Don't mention the Dublin agreement.
It never worked they said. Now it works less.

Ah yes, the agreement that meant (since 2016) we have accepted many more refugees from other EU member states than we returned ... not being a member certainly works if you wanted to see a reduced number of refugees in the UK.
