Perhaps it is because there has been a significant increase in migration from Albania since July

No it makes a huge difference. They want to peddle the idea that it's all or mostly Albanians so people buy into the idea they don't necesarily come from war torn countries while not mentioning an almost similar number come from a Afghanistan, a country we invaded, occupied and surrendered to the Taliban, turning our back on it's civilians. They come back to the UK seeking sactuary and we have the audacity to call THEM invaders !!

3rd most come from Iran, as we saw with Zagawi-Ratcliffe, they imprison an toture it's people and they have had massive floods due to climate change which we largely contributed to Then you have Iraq,a county we invaded illigally and caused unrest and the insurgence of ISIS, after that Syria, Etria, Sudan all in the misdst of wars. But no one talks about those nationals, I can only assume accepting the fact most refugees are genuine and come from war torn countries doesn't suit the racist narrative....

Keep updating our road systems, widening and improving existing and building lots of new, particularly through open countryside. Keep increasing taxation to pay for an ever increasing population. Put more buses and trains on. We need to start building on undeveloped areas. The New Forest, Exmoor, Dartmoor etc rather than increasing the urban sprawl.

problem is the Tories are funded by landlords so are incentivised to restrict housebuilding to keep property values and rents high

Also, since 2010 the Tories have been so inept at handling the economy the amount we spend to service borrowing is astronomical, way more than we spent to bail out the banks in 2008 and more than enough to invest in all the above

But our economy is currently structured to require consumerism for growth. With an ageing population, a negative birth rate, the elephant in the room is that our current economic model needs population growth for economic growth.

Unless we have an about turn on how taxation actually works, how we put public money into education and training, how we invest in infrastructure and skills and how profits and wealth are distributed, then immigration is the necessity our current government doesn't want to talk about, or should I say tell the truth about.

Unless we are prepared to elect governments that are outward looking, consider long term strategies for investment, education and training, then economic growth will continue to mean population growth.

Those people that vote for low taxation and low immigration through the Tories, they are the turkeys voting for Xmas.

This is crazy, there is something very murky going on. How are children just being allowed to be taken like this? 10 a day in Kent! 100+ in Brighton. You would think 1 child would be enough to have police or security in place to stop this. It reeks of a nonce ring.
