Assuming your original Daily Mail link is true, which I am prepared to do - (even though 'the truth' and the Daily Mail are often only distantly related), this is a shocking narrative and I trust the full force of the law will be applied to this degenerate.

But what is your/The Mail's agenda in emphasising the comfort of the place he stayed in?

Likewise, this is a story about an individual (although no doubt the Mail can dig up a handful more for their dark purposes). What conclusions can/should you draw from this, bearing mind the purpose of such tabloid tales and their targeted audience is to horrify, shape opinion and sell copies?

is there any other angle for the situation to be viewed from other than complete horror...?? it's an absolute mess , the latest boat to go down carried Afghan and Iraqi's mainly and a few Bangladesh nationals , these people have travelled thousands of miles to die an agonising death in The Channel.

No, none.... but unfortunately 'horror' can be and is used in the service of selling newspapers and hate-mongering through stereotyping and knee jerk reaction....

How hard would it be for the Police to casually walk up and POP the boat in order to saves lives?

I think I the capsule points are;

Don’t show compassion to any immigrant at all because some people are criminals?

Or something.

Rarely see the same outrage over the British sex tourists who go abroad in their thousands every year, specifically to rape.

I agree with all this. Thanks.... and writing about the quality of the accommodation just about sums up the mendacity of that rag for me......

point of order mate , the "sex industry" in Asia puts a shit load of money into the communities concerned , yes you get a few grotty old paedos and twisted fux who will seek out something unsavoury but there is always a price for what they want , a lot more European pervs getting charged and locked up which can only be a positive but the money spent by sex tourists is what has made those countries what they are .
Also a lot of English lads are bringing their Thai brides back to the UK having families with them , quite a few get fleeced and as a point of English law the mother has the right to sell the family home and take the kids back to Thailand with her after splitting the proceeds of the property or she can remain in the house while the kids are educated , claiming child support from the father until the kids are 18.......2 sides to every coin mate .....

I was talking about the paedos that go out there. And it’s more than a few.
Yes it may fuel their economy but there is a high human cost.

The old Jimmy Saville defence ....

Yeah I know he was a bit of a paedo, but he spent a lot of his money in poor northern towns, gave them a lot of publicity and you should see the work he did for charities

I mean yes, it does put money into their pockets but Christ! Imagine being forced to shag fat, drunk old Brits to feed your family? I’m not sure how anyone could defend that.
Sydney is clearly not defending paedophilia but also clearly doesn’t understand how a young woman having to choose between starving and being legally raped ten times a night, seven nights a week would have a devastating impact on her physical and mental health. And how damaging it is for women on the whole.

Some people have a hard time equating an anonymous Thai child, among thousands of anonymous Thai children as being a victim in the same way as a kid from an English family living in the U.K.
That needs to change.

As for the Thai-bride thing? I dunno, all seems a bit dodgy to me.

Obviously my post is worded that way for dramatic effect but, not for the first time, I find that mindset Sydney is coming from a little weird and frankly unsettling. Maybe it's just me, but I seriously hope and suspect not ???

I would hope it’s a misunderstanding of what goes on rather than thinking it’s in any way alright.

There are many people who simply don’t see these women as people. “Oh it’s their culture” or “it gives their family money” “it’s good for the economy”.

Oh? Be happy for your daughter to do it would you?

deliberately obtuse mate ....ah well , i think when they found the jingle jangle jewellery collection and the jersey thing came out we realised that he was a foul kaant , just because you aren't partial to Asian ladies doesn't mean its wrong , you can twist and turn it any way you want but shagging a thai bird for 500 baht is nowhere near interfering with and killing kids in an orphanage in the channel isles , protected by the establishment .....im looking forward to your reply , even we're just here for a pointless argument...
