Webster will DEFINITELY leave if we go down. So will Ben White & we know where he would end up. Lamptey to Arsenal, Biss will be off, no more Lallana, Welbeck, its why we have a lot of good but untried players waiting in the wings.

Sorry to be all doom & gloom.......just one of those days......but we are not relagated yet:clap2::thumbsup:

You are talking as if your opinions are fact, which they clearly aren't. My opinion would be that if we are relegated we will sell White and Bissouma. Lamptey may go but who would pay big money for a player that is coming back from an injury that may recurr? So in fact I think he'll stay.
Regarding Webster, I think we have a reasonable chance of keeping him.
Welbeck would be off as he's only on a contract til the end of the season. I think Lallana would stay, but wouldn't beyond next season if we didn't come straight back up.
March would probably stay because of his injury.
I reckon we'd get enough from the sale of Bissouma and White to cover some of our losses and we'd make a bold move to come straight back up with Potter in charge.
By the way, i hope we stay up but looking at the worse case scenario isn't always a bad thing to do. We are well placed in this scenario with the likes of Moder, Karbo, Zeqiri, Caicedo coming through and we'd have numerous other players who would be very high quality players at Championship level like Veltman, Sanchez and Maupay.

Yes, well TB has a habit of caving in a losing players he doesn't want to lose, doesn't he. We might sell one or two, but only of the price is right. Welbeck is only on a one year contract anyway, I think. Lallana has a three year deal, but that is factored with moving towards a more training role, I believe.

I can see Bissouma and White as the two most likely to attract offers in the summer, but whether those offers will be anywhere close to the sort of figures some NSCers are fantasising about I very much doubt. White, for instance, is a class young player, and has done well enough this season, but I'd be very surprised if his market value has increased significantly in the last 12 months, especially when Covid is factored in.

This would be terrible news and would leave us very short of cover. But his absence isn't the reason we are losing games, same with March. Lamptey's absence is the biggest miss for us because his dynamism and his skillset really can't be matched by anyone else we have here.

Potter's got to earn his future here by getting the available players to generate the results we need to keep us in the league we need to be in. If he can't do it then he can always have the "injuries" excuse but it won't matter. If he takes us down, that will stay on his CV forever.

If he is out for the rest of the season, then we have to stay up and keep that back 5. I believe that Lamptey, White, Dunk, Webster, March will prove to be the best defensive (and very good attacking) unit the Albion have ever had, if we can keep them

Has any other relegated team in recent times lost 6 players they didn’t want to lose when they’ve been relegated?
Taking into account post Covid I’d be amazed if we did lose all you mention.

From memory, Norwich struggled to field a team at points last season due to injuries.

Even better if we sold one of the CBs for a really good price and replaced them with a left-footer of similar quality. If Clarke turns out to be good enough, that'd be a £multi-million bonus.

Could well be, but personally I'd like to see another season of those 5 in real life first

I agree with you that it is only my opinion that Webster will leave. I think there is a high chance Lamptey may as well. Ben White i am not so sure but if an offer came in i think it would be Leeds & not Liverpool like some have suggested. Biss i could see going to The Arse as well......i dont think he would stay. As you quite rightly say we have talent in abundance, not tested at Premier league yet, waiting in the wings. It may come to it that the Zeqiri, Moder' s of the squad will get a chance before very long.FWIW i think we have a chance to stay up, its a 10-11 game mini-league with Newcastle & Fulham.

It's still depressing, but when you look at the squad and U23's it does look like we have tried to plan for every eventuality.

Norwich dispensed with the services of 6 players at the start of this season on their relegation from the PL.

Only 2 of these were any where near first team players they would have wanted to keep, Ben Godfrey, and Jamal Lewis.
Their jewels in the crown, you could say, Max Arron’s and Emi Buendia have remained at the club,
Both were expected to leave last Summer

Ever since Biss was linked to the Gooners his form has dropped off

The fact that three of our best players are out will hold no water with those that don’t rate Potter if we don’t win against Saints. Fact

Saints who are also missing key players. So in reverse if we win is it because Ings is out rather than anything Potter will have done?

Getting in early I see :lolol:

Ings is good but not the equivalent of three of our best players. Both important wingbacks and our best central defender when playing. Massive miss and it weakens us bigtime.

Confess I expected us to get at least a point against Leicester but am now worried, losing does become a habit as we know from experience.

Saints are missing some other players but are they important first teamers, I genuinely don’t know?

Keeping the faith but worried, but I’ll stay “in” whatever happens, unless Potter loses the players

Romeu and Walcott out. The rest back sadly. And I see a couple of players were rested when they faced city .....

Webster is better than Dunk? He’s been v good but has played well for for just over half a season. Lamptey has been out most the season now and wasn’t playing for our best run.

March is a big miss but pretty sure that Karbs was brought back from loan to be LWB or RWB cover. Potter hasn’t even had him in the last two squads despite being possibly our mom in the cup against Leicester.

Ings is Saints absolute talisman. The lethal striker who has been the reason for most of their recent success. Look at what’s happened since he’s been out.

Almost all teams are missing big players now. Managers have to use their squads accordingly.

Is there ever any good news on our injury setbacks ? Can't remember the last time one of ours was supposed to be out for months and came back much quicker than expected !

Dunk had a bit of mare early season I think, Webster definitely in line for player of the season, as was Lamptey, as was Solly before they got injured...imo

Recently Dunk has been back to his best though in fairness, lucky that!
