Dear "Couldn't give a rats arse" and "Kneon Light",

Everyone knows and understands that our club are in financial trouble... people like you harp on about it all the time!... however, this doesn't mean that the board cannot allocate limited funds to team strengthening... as, indeed, they did at the start of the season...

We are a football club... suggestions from the fans that we should allocate some funds to team strengthening should not be met by a tirade of abuse from people like you...

It's a matter of opinions... you stick to yours, and I'll stick with mine...

You must at least admit that it is a grey area... there is no right or wrong here... or, perhaps, your views are so entrenched that you can't see the other side of the argument?...

Apologies for the abuse. I was getting pissed off with all the negative threads on here recently and also 3gulls comments on a number of different threads. Sorry once again.

In terms of funds for team strengthening you have said it yourself - there was money allocated at the start of the season. If this is used up I don't want us to go over budget by spending more. The comments that annoyed me most were the ones asking why MM didn't sign a striker before the Crewe game when Virgo was injured. He was only injured late on friday so without being psychic mm could't do anything. He knows Virgo will be out for West Ham so has signed Claridge.

Whether he is the answer or not remains to be seen

I read it as Claridge is on a week to week deal so if he plays one game it is better than putting a midfielder or defender up front. We can't hope for the Virgo trick to work a second time.
