Zamora,Steele,Brooker,Piercy,Rodger,Blackwell gone.

Knight and Nicolas in plus some youth teamers who should be slowly brought in to the first team picture and a couple of players who the manager brings in and dosn't think are good enough. We need some loan signings and quick.

I need a plasma TV but probably won't get one. Continually posting won't make it so. If we haven't got the money, we haven't got it.

Are you confusing need with want?

'Probably wont get one' - so we might get some players then.

Most of the squad were brought in by MA to do a particular job and win the old div 3. They surpassd themselves and also won div 2 were relegated bacause of bad direction from the top but came back again, unexpectedly last season. They have all proved that they are more than capable of playing in and being succesful in Div 1 (Div2 as was) but none have proved that they are capable of playing in this division other than Butters when he was younger.

Would it not be possible to try to loan out some of our squad which is over stacked with mediocre players to release some wages to enable us to bring in a couple of better quality players as there appears to be no other way of finding the money.

Could we not try to loan some out to Div 2 sides as they have proved their ability in that division. Not easy I know but worth a try.

Poor example I know but the premise is the same. We need a new ground - doesn't mean we will get it. The only people who know the situation are Knight, Perry and McGhee. Constantly saying we need players won't make it so. Hopefully, the money is there and we will get someone. But if it isn't, we make do like a lot of other clubs. I agree we have a limited squad but we all know why that is. We are in a league too high for our financial position. If we stay up, it will be one of the best managerial feats ever IMHO.

constantly saying we need new players is what mm has been saying in every post-match for the last 2 months, oh and that we need a new ground

I actually think the reverse is true. Well almost. I think we have VERY good strength in depth in the squad in the goalkeeping position AND in defence AND in midfield. We've picked up very decent points with any or all of Roberts / Cullip/Butters / Chippy / Charlie / El-Abd out through injury. When there's no room for Gary Hart, Nathan Jones or Kerry Mayo and sometimes Dan Harding jogging along the touchline as a sub, then that's the sign of decent squad. Apart from the attacking players of course where it all turns to shit. Through a combination of injury, reluctance to throw players in - Jarrett, Molango, Jake robinson, and suspensions due to dumb-f*** avoidable bookings we HAVE no attack. For reasons too well-documented to repeat here.

But aren't we in our highest league position during that time?

But it is the squad we have now im worried about. The squad that got us here was stronger. We are heading one way incase you missed it and dont look like creating a chance away let alone scoring.

So, the current squad is weaker than THIS:

1. Mark Ormerod
2. Paul Watson
3. Jamie Campbell
4. Keith McPherson
5. Darren Carr
6. Gary Hobson
7. Darren Freeman
8. Paul Rogers
9. Gary Hart
10. Charlie Oatway
11. Rod Thomas
12. David Cameron
14. Andy Arnott
15. Mark Walton
16. Ross Johnson
17. Paul Armstrong
18. Ryan Palmer
19. Kerry Mayo
20. John Westcott
21. Danny Davis
22. Scott Ramsay
23. Ben Andrews
24. Andy Crosby
25. Aiden Newhouse
26. Chris Wilder

I dont think that Bright on Q literally meant the entire squad of registered players I took it that he was refering to a first team squad of about 16/17 that would probably be used.

We have about 8 or 9 players that will definitely be in the team week in week out and then the remaining 3 + subs are any 7 from 13 with a sub goalkeeper.

You could certainly create a strong looking team with the various players we have had in the past 3 years.

Kuipers/Roberts

Ingimarsson Morgan Blackwell Harding/Mayo

Currie Nicolas Sidwell Rodger

Knight Zamora

subs: Cullip, Carpenter, Brooker, Beasant, Benjamin

Nothing wrong in wishing. I jokingly said to my other half last Xmas I'd like a Plasma TV, and lo and behold I got one !

Rest assured I'm now wishing we can find a striker - who knows one might appear after Xmas. Saying that, I don't think it will be down to my other half.

Listening to the the radio commentary tonight it sounds like there are some very promising youngsters playing for Arsenal tonight. I hope MM is indeed watching this game. Surely we can use our connections with Liam Brady and find enough cash to get one of their reserve forwards on loan.

You were obviously under pressure to include Mayo.
