If that summer splurge really was it for a while then the follies of not succession planning Dunk and adding a genuine full back instead of someone who can do a job will come back to haunt us. Still, who needs a defence when you’ve got 375 right wingers and number 10s.
Levi Colwill was the one that got away on that score ☹️

Fair play to Palace, we’ve been gobbing off all season, and today this should serve as a timely reminder that we ain’t as good as some of us think we are, f***ing noddy at times, I predicted we would lose and my team didn’t fail to deliver
This
We really are not that difficult to beat

Just far enough away from LDC
The failure to cover gross, lallana and a semi perma injured Milner plus no Dunk succession will be the things that impact this season for us. Today was a symptom of that. Lots of gee up leadership (dunk and jpvh) but without welbeck there is no calm leadership

Of all the defeats in a season rolling over to Palace is the worst, a manager who spends too much time thinking over motivating. That was a complete shit show and the manager didn’t have a clue how to arrest it. That third goal was always going to happen.

I have lost all faith in our German, seems the team have too, thank God for our luck in the first few games of the season.

The serious lack of leaders on the pitch doesn't exactly help

Maybe (but actually not) but it's not zero. And we came out pretty motivated in both halfs but his players let him down.
Too many out of form players being shoo ins is down to the manager and we have few who should not be auto starters or even subs

Dunk, Mitoma, Adingra and Ferguson and today JPVH

Dropping Enciso from the squad for two games pissed me off big time
