Wayne Rooney should be banned for a very long time...

Yep and he didn't stamp on Carvalho's balls druing the WC and it was only Ronaldo that got him sent off.

Yeah, right.

Did you actually read what I wrote? I have no problem with people having a go at him, as long as he's done something wrong. I've given a detailed account of how I read those incidents in the YouTube clip. Of course we know he has a history of it, does that mean every single 50-50 incident should see him declared guilty without any thought process?

And Snoobs, I don't have Sky Sports so haven't seen it. I can only go on what's put in front of me (which is seemingly much more than many others here are willing to do).

All i've seen is the Youtube clip and the first one (the replay is the best way to see it cos the original is too far away) was an absolutely blatent stamp, the second I can't remember and the Vid's now been deleted and the third was a clear kick. The fact is he's a nasty little shit and last night he was lucky not to be sent off, again

What?! No it doesn't meet that, but both incidents were without any shadow of a doubt intentional, that you don't think so is BAFFLING.

I accept that I misjudged the first incident; I only watched it once, and given the outcry on here I'm happy to accept that I'm wrong. The second one I don't really understand, I'm not sure what he's meant to have done. As for the third one, I said initially he should be booked for lashing out, but not for protecting the ball. Centre backs do similarly every time the ball is running out, so I don't really see the problem. And just watch the defender hack at his ankles, it's not like it's all one-way traffic.

Chopper Harris would've been banned for LIFE had he been playing today, football players (and fans judging by this thread of nonsense) are too f***ing wimpish...they should all do a pre-season with a Rugby team to toughen themselves up and learn that a slight knock does'nt mean rolling about on the grass for half the match....useless twats

So will the ones here who are clearly not fans of Rooney cheer when he next scores for England? I find it hard to bash England players, as I would Brighton players. Regardless of what you think of them, they're ours.

I'll criticise and berate any players if they do something stupid or voilent as i'm not biased.
I think a lot of people just want him to sort out his temper. You never nkwo one day it could cost England. Maybe even something important like a world cup quarter-final for instance

no as he is a quality player, but when he does overact a foul/dive and does'nt get the freekick/penalty I have been known to stand up (in the North Stand) and tell the fucker to get on with the game and stop moaning!

Oh I'm not in disagreement there. He really does need to sort it. But I can't imagine people here calling Forster (for example) all the names under the sun like they have Rooney, if he was to do the same in a match.

I'm far from Rooney's biggest fan and can honestly say I've never celebrated his goals for England.

I have never booed the England players, when he scores I sigh and wonder why he didn't do that during his two year drought. I don't boo him, but I don't cheer.
