Actually, Bernardo played 13 of 16 matches as LB last season in BL (according to transfermarkt).

I know. He was moved to RB quite early on in this game

That was a very hard watch. Not going to go overboard on the first game, but the only thing worse than a lacklustre performance is a ref who wants to please the home crowd.

Choosing to have friendlies against Crawley and shit sides is a terrible way to build a team

Bissouma looked good but other than there isn't anything positive to say. Naive from CH to go with the same tactic away from home when they so clearly didn't work last year. Wish some times he would take more risks. Bissouma looked great in preseason and AJ looked good when he came on. Start those two and that would have been a very different game/

Am hoping there will be wholesale changes after that game. Bissouma and Ali J only players to come out with any credit. Knockaert woeful and I mean woeful, and Duffy, March, Murray not much better. Bernardo struggled but was out of position for the majority of the game.

God knows how Bernardo's agent managed to suggest he can play RB- he can't. But shouldn't be judged on todays game. CH should shake his hand though and politely instruct him that he'll have to show a bit more energy and desire in future games. Totally dawdled.

have the Albion team actually got off the bus yet ?

looks like they are about 6 weeks behind in training at least ... so much for a better pressing game , sadly that can only work when you know how to get past the opponents press which we dont seem to have a clue

Perhaps they weren't on the bus maybe the fitness coach decided they should jog to Watford ?

As bad as Huddersfield away last season and that is saying something.

On the positive side (let's try it), we still have a RB that is only 27 but has played for Barcelona, Inter and Valencia. Bernardo can hopefully look more composed in his natural LB position. Bissouma looked quality. Locadia and/or Andone should be fit enough to replace Murray soon. Ali J should soon be up to speed and start pushing AK to start and Isquerdo will be back to replace March.

Very poor and disappointed at our first performance (or lack of) of the season but we have players that will be coming into the team to improve it.
