On Saturday is was worrying again to see Murray’s first instinct to turn back, when twice found with the ball beyond the shoulder of the last defender, so he is playing with a conscious instinct that he himself believes he has no chance, even when given a head start, with th defender facing the wrong way as well. There was one comical example of this last season, can’t remember which game, where he turned back despite about a 7 yard lead (admittedly we were leading that game at the time).

Let's hope the tepid away performance, so similar to most of last seasons away games, will be turned around once the new signings are bedded in. If we have to rely on the starting lining up with both wingers conceding possession, no pace up front and with a midfield playing safety first we are going to be in trouble. Back four looked a shambles once Bruno was off.
Bright spark was Bissouma who ran and committed defenders and was an all round bully. Nice to see.

Even with the new boys settled, I am still worried that CH won't let the shackles off and we will approach most away games from a safety first angle. If he does, it will be a long hard season and a struggle to stay up. Hard to see us being gifted two away wins as at Swansea and West Ham who were both terrible, at the time. If we don't get the odd surprise away win, we are going to be in trouble and its foolhardy to rely on piling up as many home points or more as last season.

I think and hope that CH will have learnt a harsh lesson at Watford. Away from home we have got to be more defensively solid and if need be shut up shop and rely on a breakaway to get a win. Bolster the midfield with an extra player to help keep a clean sheet. He will also have learnt that Bernardo cannot play right back as we have been told
