not admitting to being there or commenting on how 'boring' the game is when i'm not there. I have however been to derby and burnley and it was far from boring, we just don't look like scoring even when we have a good chance.

As someone who likes to defend brighton players who are being unfairly criticised, I frequently defended Barnes and have among some a reputation as a 'Barnes lover', so I hesitate to raise this point, but...

One goal in four league games since Barnes left. Are we seeing more now what he brought to the team? I'm not talking about his goals, he was only good for around 10 a season at this level, but I mean that link between the forward line and the rest of the team. These past four games it has been repeatedly noted how isolated Ulloa has been - is that where we're most missing Barnes?
