It's not clearly a penalty and not clearly not a penalty.

It's in the grey zone of sometimes given, sometimes not.

Which is why, as it was not given on field, no clear and obvious error was made by the ref, so it was awarded incorrectly

100% of those who've voted not a penalty would've been livid if that were up the other end and not given.

I don’t want to see those given as penalties as it’s two players tangling competing for the ball so it’s a no for me. Also that is seriously stretching the definition of clear and obvious so why is the VAR even getting involved?

I’m growing increasingly exasperated by the sheer number of penalties awarded in games. But no complaints about that one, I’m afraid. A free kick anywhere outside the box and a penalty kick inside it.

DeZerbi says it was a 'clear penalty'. At the time I was relieved that the ref hadn't given it. What annoyed me more was a) it shouldn't have been overturned because it was a subjective call, and b) they shouldn't have had 10 men on the pitch and so shouldn't have had the opportunity in the first place.

Definite penalty I'm afraid. Milner is nowhere near getting the ball and he ensures Mudryk doesn't get it either. The match thread was very wrong (not a great surprise really).
